When you have a starter that has been dominant and your pen has struggled, why pull the dude that has been mowing down TB? He gave up a hit to one of the best hitters in the Rays line up....big fucking deal. It is his game to win/lose, let him go!

I just don't get it. I pitched in college and when a guy is going well, and your pen sucks, let the hot hand go unless the guy wants to come out. These managers manage themselves right out of games.

Hopefully, Seattle can pull this out.

I've said it all year long, Wak has absolutely no idea how to handle his pitching staff. This isn't the first time he's done this -- there have been two starts by Fister where he pulled him after just 100 pitches, and both times Aardsma blew the game for him. In one of those starts Fister was actually pitching a THREE HITTER! I think in the other one he had given up one run.

And then for Wak to bring in Colome, by far the worst reliever they have, in the 9th to give up the win was just as bad as pulling Vargas.

And I shouldn't really limit it to Wak, most managers have no idea what they're doing with the bullpen.
