Thanks to Awbarn and LSwho preventing me from having a big week last Saturday.
Was 7-5 for the day and now I'm Overall: 19-8-2; Sides: 8-4-1; Totals: 9-2-1; Teasers: 2-2.
Kentucky at Alabama and Awbarn at Vandy look to be the only decent match ups this weekend in the SEC. Hopefully the Tide can continue to follow the process and focus on a sneaky good Kentucky team this Saturday.
Looks like I have 6 plays this week... so far. :mj06:
Florida at Arkansas
On paper this looks like an absolute mismatch. Arkansas is just plain pathetic. Florida is just plain pissed off. I'm beginning to wonder if the ATL doesn't look a bit better to Head Hog Bobby Petrino. Last second victories over Western Illinois and Louisiana Monroe (5 points combined) followed up by asswhipings by Alabama and Texas (77 points combined) point to a very ugly year at Arkansas (0-8 in the SEC possibly). The Reptiles are a rather pedestrian 6-4 in their last 10 games and Urban Meyer held a rare Sunday practice this week to "shake things up" as he put it.
Arkansas has allowed more sacks than any other team in D-1 (17). Florida should be able to pressure QB Casey Dick all day as the running game of Arkansas is practically non-existent. Brandon Spikes leads the SEC in tackles per game this year and is seventh nationally with 11.3. The Hogs front five has to replace Ray Dominquez, who suffered an ankle injury last week and will be out for at least this week. That's not good news for Arkansas. Dick does lead the SEC in passing yards, but that's because Arkansas has had to play from behind in all four games this season. To further rub salt in the wound, the Hogs have given up more TDs on offense (3) than scored (2) in their past two games. QBs Dick and Tyler Wilson have combined to throw six TDs against six interceptions this season. I see multiple turnovers in the Hogs' future.
Tim Tebow finally found the endzone last weekend on the ground with two rushing TDs against Ole Miss. He also had his first 300+ yard passing game of the year and has yet to throw an interception, yet the Reptiles still lost. Florida's O-Line has some injuries and that will concern me next week, but not this week. The Reptiles had 20 plays over 10 yards last week against Ole Miss.
Arkansas has punted the ball 17 times this season. That's bad news since the Reptiles have Brandon James, who is the only player in the nation to return two punts for TDs this season.
Urban Meyer looks like a jerk and talks like a jerk, so I'm going to assume that he's a jerk. He will keep the pedal to the floor against an outmatched conference opponent. This will be ugly, it's just a matter of time.
Reptiles are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.
Razorbacks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
My prediction is Reptiles 45-14
My bet is Florida -24
