Secretariat would have dominated American Pharoah at the Belmont Stakes

I know for a lot of people this was the 1st time seeing live a Triple Crown winner, I was pretty excited to see American Pharoah get it. I have seen now 4 triple crown winners but Secretariat by far is still my greatest horse.
After American Pharoah won the Triple Crown, 90,237 of the 94,128 $2 tickets purchased, which are worth $3.50, went uncashed.

Thinking back to every Triple Crown participant i've seen live or on TV (saw about half of them live), I'm convinced that Secretariat woulda beat EVERY one of them. On his best day, Seatle Slew woulda had a slight chance ... a SLIGHT chance.

Sure he would have. Secretariat was a physical freak who had a heart that was over twice the size of other thoroughbreds. I cant recall the specifics but i believe that his heart was well over 20 lbs. when around 9 is considered average.
As I recall, the great Phar Lap from New Zealand also had an oversized heart.
Another champion like those two will come along in time. Maybe not in my lifetime but it will happen again.
