Wow, it's worse than I thought. Seems like we account for about 50% of mass shootings worldwide evwn though our population is roughly 5% of the world population. Time to tighten up gun laws to keep up with the the rest of the advanced world.

I wish I loved anything as much as gun people love theirs guns... I just don't phucking get it.

Ok rifles for hunting blah blah ok fine.. But the fact that you can walk into a store and buy an assault weapon is beyond me.

That being said Pandora's box is open and there is no shutting it at this point. I don't like guns but I suppose I will need one for home perfection. It doesn't seem the lunatics will be getting rid of their guns anytime soon.

More than half of all suicides are people suffering from depression. That includes children.
You want to deny people with an illness medication, parents to hit their kids, deny the poor and hungry shelter, food, and medication, pick and choose who can get married, make a victim of rape carry an at risk baby, tax the middle class, enjoy a racist lifestyle, and liberals are what's wrong?

I would hate to see what would happen if people were not on their medication. Good Grief. Not all
mental health issues are easily recognizable and if they are those who see it can be in denial. People with mental issues often times try to mask their illness. Not that easy to tell someone who is schizophrenic to "deal with it."

Cheryl K. Chumley is a staff writer for WND and author of "Police State USA: How Orwell's Nightmare is Becoming our Reality." Formerly with the Washington Times, she is a journalism fellow with The Phillips Foundation in Washington, D.C., where she spent a year researching and writing about private property rights.

A South Carolina lawmaker, who said he was friends with one of the nine church victims, said that Fox News, the Confederate flag and the lack of ?hate?-crime laws in his state are all to blame for Dylann Roof?s alleged rampage.

Regarding Fox News, Todd Rutherford ? the state legislator who touted friendship with fellow lawmaker, Rev. Clementa Pinckney ? claimed the network used ?coded language? to further ?hate speech.?

?[The gunman] hears that because he watches the news and he watches things like Fox News, where they talk about things that they call news, but they?re really not,? he said, during an interview with CNN. ?They use that coded language, they use hate speech, they talk about the president as if he?s not the president, they talk about churchgoers that they?re not really churchgoers. And that?s what this young man acted on. That?s why you can walk into a church and treat people like animals when they?re really human beings.?

Rutherford also said South Carolina exacerbated such attitudes because it flies the Confederate flag right at the state Capitol, and it is one of only five states that doesn?t have ?hate?-crimes laws, Mediaite reported.

Rutherford later made an appearance on Fox News with Bill O?Reilly to discuss what the host called his ?disturbing? remarks ? but the lawmaker only doubled down on them, explaining how a lot of black people are bothered by the discussions that take place on Fox.

As one example, Rutherford accused the network of advancing birther stories about the president.

?It is disturbing,? he said. ?It is disturbing to most African-Americans to watch as Fox News continues to cover stories as to whether the president is truly the president, whether he was born in this country.?

O?Reilly cut in to said: ?I don?t know anybody on this network who does that. No one. And I see everything here.?

The two then engaged in some fiery back-and-forths, with O?Reilly requesting Rutherford explain how he knew Roof watched Fox News. The two eventually talked over each other, and O?Reilly finally said: ?Mr. Rutherford, let me get a question out. Are you going to stand there tonight and say that Fox News justifies brutal crimes against black Americans??

Rutherford responded by accusing O?Reilly of ?inflaming the rhetoric? and said, ?You are exactly what I?m talking about.?

Rutherford again claimed the network was acting irresponsibly in its coverage of Obama.

Instead of doctors talking to people about their "depression" they just prescribe pills, while for some people they work, for some people they do not. The problem is doctors do not have the time to talk to everyone about being depressed, Its easier to prescribe medicine and on to the next patient, they are getting kick backs from big pharmacy by the way if you didn't know that, I know when I was depressed after my ex wife filed for divorce I did some things that were out of character for me, wild and crazy shit that I would never do no because I was so distraught, I lost half my house, half my assets, it was a tough time...I could have used some anti depressants but I refused to go to the doctor for any because it was going to mask the issues instead of fix them, I stayed the course and went back to basics, no more crazy and what do you know less than 2 years later I met the girl of my dreams...my point is deal with the issues instead of masking it with drugs. Many people in the US are on anti depressants and for some as you can read below bad things can happen...this is what happened in South Carolina, I hope this kid gets the death penalty, what he did is in excusable......Lecture over for today, you guys have a great weekend I know I will :0008

Antidepressants can make depression worse rather than better for some people, leading to an increased risk of suicide, hostility, and even homicidal behavior. While this is particularly true of children and young adults on antidepressant medication, anyone taking antidepressants should be closely watched for suicidal and hostile thoughts and behaviors. Monitoring is especially important if this is the person?s first time on depression medication or if the dose has recently been changed.

Signs that medication is making things worse include anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, hostility, restlessness, and extreme agitation?particularly if the symptoms appear suddenly or rapidly deteriorate. If you spot the warning signs in yourself or a loved one, contact a doctor or therapist immediately.

If you are concerned that a friend or family member is contemplating suicide, see Suicide Prevention. The suicide risk is greatest during the first two months of antidepressant treatment.

Now for the truth

Fox News Military Analyst Bill Cowan Goes Birther: August 11,2014

"We May Not Know For Another 100 Years" If Obama's "Legitimate"...

Cowan later discussed his anger towards Obama supporters, stating:

"When I see an Obama sticker go by in a car, I've never had anger like that in my life. I want to run 'em off the road. I don't care if it's a woman."

He added while smiling:

"I'm not kidding, my anger is overwhelming at the people who vote for Obama because I think they just plain have no idea what he is or what's happening to their country. And they're the something for nothing people."

So..Fox is the birther channel, and O'Reilly is a lying sack of shit. What else is new?

Birther row began with Hillary Clinton

The lie that Barack Obama was not born in the US has been fuelled by fringe Republicans ? but supporters of Hillary Clinton, now Mr Obama?s Secretary of State, are largely to blame for starting it.

Jon Swaine
By Jon Swaine, New York

5:30PM BST 27 Apr 2011

False rumours about Mr Obama?s background first surfaced in 2004, in Illinois, where he was a state senator. Andy Martin, a perennial local candidate and litigant, claimed Mr Obama was secretly Muslim.

Related theories ? including that he was radicalised in a ?madrassa? in Indonesia ? developed after Mr Obama entered the national stage with a speech to the Democratic National Convention later that year.

In 2005, Mr Obama went to Washington as the junior US senator for Illinois. The rumours about him persisted, but seemingly failed to take hold among political insiders and voters alike.

It was not until April 2008, at the height of the intensely bitter Democratic presidential primary process, that the touch paper was properly lit.

An anonymous email circulated by supporters of Mrs Clinton, Mr Obama?s main rival for the party?s nomination, thrust a new allegation into the national spotlight ? that he had not been born in Hawaii.

?Barack Obama?s mother was living in Kenya with his Arab-African father late in her pregnancy,? it said. ?She was not allowed to travel by plane then, so Barack Obama was born there and his mother then took him to Hawaii to register his birth.? Then in August 2008 Phil Berg, an ex-deputy attorney general for Pennsylvania and a renowned conspiracy theorist, filed a lawsuit alleging that Mr Obama was ineligible to be a candidate.

?Obama carries multiple citizenships and is ineligible to run for President of the United States. United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1,? it said.

By then, the Obama campaign had posted a copy of his ?certificate of live birth? ? a shorter version of the birth certificate, which is accepted as proof of birth from applicants for a US passport.

But the fact it was not the full, original certificate ? and that the campaign failed to show the serial number and other details in their scan ? meant that the conspiracy theorists were unbowed.

The director of the Hawaii health department stated that she had seen the full certificate and that it was all in order. Entries from the birth records sections of two local newspapers from the time were found.

Yet still some were unconvinced, explaining away this extra evidence, and demanding to see the full certificate, which Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital said it could not release.

After Mr Obama?s election victory and inauguration, the conspiracy theory survived, albeit quietly. Crudely fake Kenyan birth certificates purporting to prove it were circulated, and more lawsuits about Mr Obama?s birth were filed.

It was not until last month, and the emergence of the property tycoon Donald Trump as a potential Republican presidential candidate, that the issue was thrust back into national prominence.

Mr Trump outed himself as a ?birther? in an interview on his private jet on March 17. ?The reason I have a little doubt ? just a little ? is because he grew up and nobody knew him,? he told ABC News.

Over the following weeks, Mr Trump reiterated his comments repeatedly. He added a string of further allegations, including that Mr Obama?s grandmother had recalled witnessing his birth in Kenya, which were simply not true.

While insisting that the media was forcing him to talk about the subject, Mr Trump eventually resurrected the demand for Mr Obama to produce his full birth certificate.

Last week a poll suggested almost half of Republican voters believed the president was not born in the US. It appears to have convinced the White House that it was time to act.

While the Democrats who see an opportunity to further their agenda are quick to vilify guns as the cause of the Charleston church shooting, the underlying issue of the mental state of the perpetrator carries with it no political advantage and is therefore being largely ignored.

Just as with many of the other instances of mass shootings, it has been discovered that this murderer, Dylann Roof, was a lifelong drug abuser who was under the influence of and addiction to a powerful narcotic medication, Suboxone.

CBS News reported that he had been arrested previously in response to odd, threatening behavior at a retailer in February, an incident in which he was wearing all black, asking about security and staffing levels and found to be carrying Suboxone on his person.

WND reports that Suboxone is prescribed for treatment of patients addicted to methadone, heroin, morphine or other opioid drugs. Drugs.com warns, ?[It] should be used as part of a complete treatment plan to include counseling and psychosocial support.?

They also cite warnings from Mental Health Daily of ?extreme depression and dysphoria, depersonalization, confusion and anxiety, irritability, mood swings and ?fear of going crazy.? These adverse effects can be most acute during the patient?s withdrawal period.? Negative side effects are magnified by mixing the drug with alcohol.

Mental Health Daily also warned, ?You may not feel like yourself during the withdrawal, which may cause you to freak out. If you are feeling as though you have become a totally different person ? And chemically, you have become a different person ? your endorphin and neurotransmitters are different than they were when you started. It will take a while to feel like your ?old self? again.?

WND quoted one patient named James who posted on the Mental Health Daily site as saying, ?Man this is the toughest thing to go threw [sic] period. I?m about 3 weeks into it and I feel like hurting myself. I have been threw [sic] a lot of stuff in my life but this takes the cake.?

Another poster, Lana, wrote, ?I?m going insane!! Suboxone increased my depression, I lack motivation, I was nauseous nonstop, I gained weight. ? I lost all motivation and love for life.?

Kris, another suffering the effects of Suboxone addiction added, ?My doc won?t refill my prescription. So I am sitting here, restless, irritable, mood swings, feeling like I am going to f*****g snap!!!?

WND Managing Editor David Kupelian noted in his book, ?How Evil Works,? it is ?simply indisputable that most perpetrators of school shootings and similar mass murders in our modern era were either on ? or just recently coming off of ? psychiatric medications.?

Given the wealth of evidence that the policies of treating addiction to dangerous drugs by addicting people to more dangerous, more addictive replacements isn?t working, why is that not the first area given review by Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton and others when supposedly seeking out a solution.

Their goal is not to find a solution but to remove the guns from the hands of the American people through any manner possible. Succeeding through the use of a false narrative is still success and still a legitimate path in the eye of the socialist Democrats.

The truth is that guns are not to blame and often the drugs are. A secure border and revamping of medication regimens for drugs which pervert the thought process of individuals would go much further towards correcting the problem than blaming and attempting to outlaw or restrict access to a tool of self defense.
