i think we are on the same page . i know its self serving to say i think alabama gets in over osu but i do. you seem to think osu's wins are more impressive than i do.they came back from the dead and beat penn st by 1 at home and i guess wis would be their next best win this saturday. and as for bamas loss , i dont think there is a team in the country that could have beat auburn at home the last two week...

i truly hope you guys win and get in saturday...gl

Definitely was including Wisconsin in the OSU Resume which would be a solid "what have you done for me lately" Win. But just going off how rankings are likely to shake out OSU would have wins over
#6 Wisconsin (or whatever Wisconsin bumps back to with a loss I'm just guessing #6)
#8 Penn State (would probably jump miami after losing to Clemson)
#19ish Michigan State

It's not really these wins being that impressive it's more so how awful the SECW outside of Auburn and Alabama ended up being + East games were vs. Vandy and Tennessee. Up until last weekend the most impressive win on Bama's schedule was a game winning drive over Mississippi State. Now it's looking like the best win is vs. LSU.

I think if you put both teams resumes together they're pretty even in that 1 team has a few good wins and 1 team doesn't have a bad loss. At that point it's a question of how much does OSU being B10Champ mean. It would be incredibly ironic for OSU to get in and a little bit hypocritical by the committee, assuming its the same people on it that put in OSU over PSU last year.

It'll be interesting to watch and if that's the decision it comes down to, both fanbases have a legitimate gripe about the other getting in.

TCU doesn't need to be within 100 miles of a playoff game. If they somehow beat OU then I think Bama is 100% in (assuming all other chalk wins)

If OSU wins then I think it is a very tough decision and both Bama and OSU have cases for and against them. I'd hate to be in the selection committee room if AU/Clemson/OU/OSU win this weekend.

Bama has "better losses" but absolutely no wins to really make a case for... not their fault but it's a fact.

OSU has "better wins" but having already lost to another team that would be in as well as the black eye of that Iowa game.

Sadly I don't think USC could even make a case if they win because their wins are about as impressive as Bama's but their losses are almost as bad as OSU.

If I had to pick - I'd say OSU "should" get in just because there should be some weight on winning your conference.

If I had to bet - I'd say Bama simply because everyone thought they were a cut above the rest for the first 7-8 weeks of the season. ***If the committee goes so far as to look into injuries, they shouldn't put Bama in... that defense is just not a playoff defense with the unfortunate slew of injuries at LB.

I think the bigger clusterfuck is if:

UGA, OSU, and OU win. ACC Champ seems automatic even though Miami got embarrassed by Pitt.

But if UGA wins does that have any bearing on Bama's chances - I'd say yes because putting Bama in the playoffs with Auburn, who they've already lost to very recently, vs. Putting Bama in with UGA, who they haven't played yet - makes more sense as far as the "you already had your shot vs _____" case goes

I will promise you this ...IOWA 55 Ohio St 24 And it was a LOT WORSE than the score indicated ....This will stick in the throats of any selection committee...Soundly beaten by Penn St even though Ohio St won and Okla dominated them at the Buckeyes home field...Have no idea how anyone thinks Ohio St is a top four Team...Hell OKLA USC STANFORD GA AUBURN ALA CLEMSON Miami Would win on a neutral field against this weak ass defense...Geez

at the same time Bama's marquee win is barely squeaking out a win against a Mississippi State team that is playing their way out of the top 25. For what it's worth, I don't think OSU is a top 4 team. I think Bama would beat them by 2-3 TDs on a neutral field. But as far as resumes go they would have 2 top 10 wins and another top 20, if they beat Wisconsin.

I wouldn't say Miami would beat anyone the way they've looked this year.

Hell, if Wisconsin loses, this would be a type of year where the non-P5 undefeated school actually has an argument to get in as the 4th. Even after that crazy game vs. USF last weekend.

If you made up an All Star Team from GA ST/KENT/Tenn. Mart. Bama would still win by 40 plus....
