With key players possibly missing for Thursday night?s game, injuries could determine whether the San Francisco 49ers win or lose to the St. Louis Rams.
The two most important players Niner fans should keep an eye on as the game approaches tonight are Patrick Willis and Vernon Davis. Willis has a groin injury, while Davis is recovering from a hamstring injury. Both are listed as questionable, but if either does play, it will likely be Davis. Even though Davis was limited at practice the last two days, at least he was on the field with teammates. The same could not be said about Willis who has not practiced at all this week. Both will be game time decisions.
The 49ers will need both Willis and Davis to play tonight if they want to end their two-game skid. Even if Davis is not 100%, he is another receiving option for Colin Kaepernick that the Rams will have to account for. With Willis on the field, he is a presence in the middle that instills fear in opposing quarterbacks. Willis and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said they hope he would play tonight.
Another receiving option that could be missing tonight is Kyle Williams. He has a rib and knee injury and is listed as questionable as well. He has been practicing on a limited basis all week. My guess is Williams will play because he has been at practice. Plus, the Niners need his abilities in the return game tonight.
No. 3 cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is also listed as questionable with a knee injury he suffered against the Colts. He hasn?t participated at practiced all week. It?s likely he will not play.
For the Rams, running back Daryl Richardson has a foot injury and is listed as probable. Last week, he left the game against the Cowboys in the first quarter and has not played much since the start of the season. However, since he was a full participant at practice this week, he will likely suit up to play.
St. Louis defensive end William Hayes will miss Thursday night?s game due to a knee injury he suffered last week. He has a sprained MCL.

Here is the full injury report for both teams:

T Anthony Davis (shoulder), TE VernonDavis (hamstring), S Raymond Ventrone (concussion), WR KyleWilliams (rib, knee), LB PatrickWillis (groin)

Fade or agree at will....but I am thinking Vernon Davis will play and I don't see 49ers going 1-3 & they will NOT look ahead.....past 2 weeks performances..... and last 2 meetings vs Rams last year..... division game.

I am going SF -3 here and see SF able to run the rock and get running game on track and thus open play action and balls to Vernon down middle of the field. Dallas dominated St Louis Offense last week allowing 14 yards of offense in 1st half....SF D even without some play maker will show up!

Just my 2 cents......could be dead wrong....but the play I am making. It's a small one. I think Frank Gore gets going tongiht
