i know she was being a disrespectful twat, but it's bullshit that you up the bail b/c she said

maybe the finger is or isn't worth jail time in the setting of a court, but calling her back and upping bail just b/c she said adios is bullshit
Well ummmm..........if she is ever in front of a judge again, you can be sure she will be acting respectful, you can be sure of that. I don't think she'll be treating it as one giant joke.
think it was more bitch was laughing at judge not becuase she said adios.

She was being disrespectful from the start and he saw fit to set bail at 5k ...Just b/c he perceived her adios as an insult to him doesn't make it just for it to escalate to 30 days of jail time..She was obviously on something too and probably should have been sent to detox before appearing in court

There are a few places you need to show absolute respect and she showed none. He was looking for a reason to drop the hammer and she gave it to him. I wish he would have made it 90 days.

I think the adios was the last straw. Everything else he was being nice and let slide, the laughing etc. Even after he pressed her for a dollar amount on the jewelry and she couldn't give one he let that slide. Him saying adios is classic, to me it shows he has a personality and can play that game as well.
Rule: Do not mess with the bull.
First of all, he is a county judge not Jesus. He is of latino descent and is bilingual so saying goodbye in his native tongue is grounds for abuse of power?
It cracks me up when people think that any position elevates you to a status that supersedes your responsibility as a human being.
While the girl may not have taken the thing as serious as she should have, the judge was obviously laughing about something directly prior to her smiling and saying adios. What was her crime then? Secondly, the judge had already rendered a decision and then raises the fine because he didn't like adios? He then proceeds to do THE EXACT SAME THING SHE DID, and because he doesn't fine himself 10k the young girl got pissed and reacted, just like the judge did, to the affront. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. There is not a single position or job in existence that elevates your position in society. That judge is there to see that justice is done and if that was your daughter and you now had to see her do thirty days because of a ridiculous little comment, I would be waiting for that judge the minute he got off his throne and flat whipped his ass.
Respect is earned, period. I have none for him. He abused his position and incarcerated someone for something that isn't even a crime.
Fuck that, he's a fucking scumbag.
