For Christmas my son is being handed down a 22 Rifle that's been in the family for over 50 years....We've been looking all over for ammo for him but the shells are hard to get...Seems and you can't reserve any at our local stores and online site are back ordered.....Anyone have any ideas?

Wal Mart has them for around .08-.16 a piece but sell out as soon as they hit the shelf.....Mom & Pop stores sell them for .40-.06 a piece and still are out....Poor kids getting a gun with no ammo....:facepalm:

is it really safe to be giving your kid a rifle when you aren't even aware enough to know what kind of ammunition it takes?

Shotgun ammo? seriously?

Not recommended for use in long barreled guns as the projectile may become lodged and be dangerous (lethal) if a regular cartridge is shot as a follow up.

I'm not a hunter nor a gun fan for that matter, but my son would like to learn to hunt and is a gun fan.....His uncle is a Game Warden and many in the family hunt so they will be teaching him and I'll learn at the same time....He'll also be taking a gun/hunting safety course.....I'll make sure he's holding to correct end of the barrel to start with....

Title of the Thread....Lumi knew what I meant and hekped out..... Marine has a hard on for me for whatever reason, dont really care anymore.... So he chose to take the prick route, but that's fine....:0008
