I think society needs to come up with a new term. We've all heard of "suicide by cop", but I think we need to start focusing on "life insurance by cop".
How much money is this guy's clan going to pocket over his not listening to the cop, and forcing his hand?
Too many people doing a Clint Eastwood in "Gran Torino" now days.
I think the cop is an asshole, he should lose his job, he won't get convicted but I hope he lives a miserable life. The End

I'm just curious to know how you would have handled that situation? I likely would have opted for the taser method rather than pumping the guy full of lead, but the guy got what he had coming by not complying to the officer.
If it's OK for cops to kill someone that easily then I don't blame people for being angry.
if the cop saw a gun and the guy didnt comply with the cops direction...suicide by cop or hes a retard go vikes.
Actually the cop is wrong. Cops are supposed to follow the rules of: 1) Minimum force necessary to gain control of the suspect, and 2) The amount of force used must be reasonable.
I think the cop flunked on both counts. You can't shoot a guy for running away unless he is a fleeing felon, which the cop couldn't charge the guy with a felony at the time he shot him. The suspect was not armed when he was shot. A gun in the glove compartment is not a good enough reason for the cop to shoot a suspect unless the suspect reached for the gun, which if he did we were not able to see it.
Negligent homicide or Unlawful discharge of a firearm in the act of duty conviction, cop goes to jail unless there is more to the story than we could see.

Bullshit. I guarantee you anyone... and I mean anyone gets pulled over,in the dark, cop walks up and sees a GUN and demands you to show your hands and you keep fumble fucking around in the car and don't comply... you are getting lit up one way or the other. Whether it be the lethal variety as shown in the video in this thread or by a hell of a lot of voltage. I don't blame the cop at all for killing that dude. He likely has a family and maybe even kids he wants to spend the rest of his life with. I have no remorse for anyone who does not respect authority. One less piece of shit on the planet. I don't care if he was drunk, high, ect ect ect. Thats one mistake he'll never make again. I like how his buddy was all cooperative when the shots started ringing out. Any of you who feel remorse for the dead guy... Lets hear the rebuttal.
