heinous, and you trying to defend the actions of these pigs is laughable. Sad.

six nobody is defending anything. what i am saying is why would people fly planes into our buildings? You think they just came up with this idea hanging out in the cave for no good reason? If you dig deep you will find out that our very own gov't created this mess. You screw with people enough sooner or later they are gonna swing back.

the biggest threat to Christianity, imho, are Christians like the aforementioned who disgrace themselves and/or rob others blindly. These actions just further the views of sponge, Eddie, et al who don't believe in God. These clowns make the news, but those of the Christian faith who support the whole economy of a country like Haiti, or send millions in relief aid to Katrina victims along with going down there to work, or run thousands of orphanages around the world, or build thousands of houses around the world, etc etc etc. I'm in no way trying to make excuses for these guys, but I am saying that these type and the media coverage of them and not the good deeds being done are very harmful. These folks will recieve their judgement in full one day.

Well said SixFive.
It is very unfortunate that so many people do not see the good so many Christian people and organizations do to help others. These people that Eddie mentioned are the minority but they are the ones that give Christians a bad name to people that aren't open minded. Most people if they look around can see the good works many Christians are doing.

Also, in Terry Ray's defense, I'm sure he just posted this thread for discussion and probably thought it was a real sermon. I would guess he practices some sort of Christianity, and if he doesn't, he's at least well versed in it. Maybe I'm wrong, but never took him for an atheist, and if he is, I won't think less of him. He's at least made an informed decision.

99 percent of our scientist don't believe either. Just the two who regularly vist Fox news believe.
Lets just say i hope their is one. Its 49/51 with me. Just got a had chest pain so make it 51/49

Now back to the question on should unsaved people celebrate Christmas.
If you are not a believer in Christ than why do you want to celebrate Christmas?? I myself have never understood why you would. Why would you want to celebrate something you don't believe in. I am divorced and I sure don't celebrate my ex wedding anniversary. Remember The celebration of the birth of Christ is what Christmas is all about.

Man, this crap is priceless!!! :mj07:

gw, you've somehow managed to turn a "hoax" about un-shaved babies (that's what I thought it said, and couldn't for the life of me work out what the hell facial hair had any baring...let alone how a kiddie grew a beard in the first place...)
...into your usual rant about decapitations and monsters (in or out the closet).

Hey, nobody could ever accuse you of not being persistant...or even consistant.

Basically mate, we get it. We're over it. You don't like, feel threatened by/scared of Muslims.
We understand.
DTB doesn't like black dudes, you don't like arab dudes.

It's ok, we all have our little bug-bears. I don't like fat chicks with bad teeth...it's all good.

If you are not a believer in Christ than why do you want to celebrate Christmas??

There's a difference between celebrating it and celebrating it I would have thought.
Equally, why would people who simply believe that Christmas is about the birth of Christ buy into the whole commerciality of it all?
Why not go to Church, say a few extra prayers and get on with the day just like any other?

It's a holiday. It's the chance (sometimes only chance each year) to be with family...I'm sure thats how the majority of people see it anyway...
...but, since me GF has to work this year, it'll be a day for me to crack a beer at about 9 am and watch NFL and NBA games all day. (Damn, I hope there are some scheduled, or I'm ruined!!)

Wayne:

It's 33 1/3%, In return my clients get a lot of work not empty promises. Hopefully compensation for their injuries from carriers that are trying to screw them over based upon the crap that you cut and paste at this forum. You know, the people that pay you.

You see Wayne I don't promise my clients eternal salvation. Nor do I promise them coverages that magjically disappear once a claim is made like I anticipate you would do.

not a "hoax",c...just another badly veiled shot across the bow of christianity...and later in the thread, more inane moral relativism..

well,we had our first grandmother martyr the other day,,c.....mother of nine and grandmother of 41 became the oldest palestinian suicide bomber at the age of 57....had her first child at the ripe old age of 12...

fortunately it was botched...it was a homemade bomb... you know,c, the kind grandma used to make?......

it is progress,i guess,to see that in the radical islamist version of islam...those that wish to supress and abuse women, they have discovered that women can, too, make a contribution as other than merely baby mills..... they can act as "human shields" and wear explosive belts under their blankies.....

what class of people have the radical muslim terrorists not exploited to blow up innocents yet?...... kids...pregnant women...the mentally and/or physically challenged ...grandmas...- anybody they can exploit...

and yes, that`s collectively scary,creepy,insane...probably even for the non-jihadi moderate muslim...a culture of hate...blockers of progress and modernity...

my booger bears?..yes,i agree...people that want to kill my fellow countrymen and women...and children....qualify in that category...

self preservation is powerful motivation.......

.well, here are a handful of headlines over the last few days....illustrating how my "booger bears" are spreading good tidings the world over....and theres an aussie article in there just for you...you are after all,special...

It's funny what a war can do to lift the value of women...we only have to look back 70 years in our own countries to see that very same thing.

Hey, maybe that's been our plan all along...maybe the way for us to make radical Muslims respect women is to simply wipe out 80% of the men!...
...na, as you said, she botched it anyway!! Stupid bloody women, can't get anything right!!

Hey Mr. C:

How are you? Good to see your words again. Even today, we value a beautiful woman much differently than a troll. hey I'm the first guy guilty of that but I know a lot of divorced 50 year old women who can't get a guy to look there way.

My point is there are a lot of different ways to devalue a person (gender). And before the Crusaders jump in a lot of different degrees also. But it ain't perfect over here either.

Life's good thanks Ed.

Beautiful day, had a couple of NFL winners...time to reach for the fridge to watch the SNF ;)

Funnily enough, I've ben sitting on this very topic for a little while now...even did a bit of research...unfortunately I didn't post it earlier 'cause now I've lost most of the numbers, but I'll see if I can't give some sort of abridged version...

You see, any gw "discussion" generally ends in something along the lines of...monsters, beheadings, stone age, 6th century freaks...etc. etc. (We all know the drill be now)...
...got me thinking...just how advanced are we in the west?...

...women?...
...as you say, still a long way from total equality across the board. Get paid less for same jobs, don't get same jobs for a start...
but let's go back some years...
...Not sure now when women were officially allowed to vote in the US (1920's I believe), but in one of the most highly regarded scientific and moral western countries, Switzerland, women weren't allowed to vote until late 1970's!!
(Aborigines didn't have the right to vote until the 60's here in Australia.)

Back to the war point...what was women's role before WW2? House wife. House cleaner. Nanny. That's about it.
Even (funnily enough...Eddie and all) in 50's and 60's they were stereo-typed in tv shows as house-wives in aprons...nanny's, cleaners, house-keepers, secretary's...
How many men today resent a woman who earns more than he does? How many men still get abusive/violent when their woman does something that HE doesn't approve of?

Abortion illegal. Prostitution illegal.

The funny thing about it, is that one of the most male dominated countries in the world is Saudi Arabia...why don't we stick our noses in there and tell them how to run their country??
LOL!! We wouldn't ****ing dare!!!

Killing in the name of religion?

20 years ago there was full-on civil war in Nothern Ireland, over what? Religion.

Killing in the name of simply being different?

Within the last 50 years it was generally accepted in some Southern States (alright, Miss the most!) for black people to be lynched...brutalised...murdered...houses burnt down...simply for being black.
50 years ago!!! That's within (I'm guessing) a lot of people here's lifetiimes!!!

****, 200 years ago we were throwing people off cliffs and burning people alive because they were witches!!! LMAO!!!
What a marvellously civilised time that must have been!!

So what? We are a short 200 years AT BEST from anything that's going on now...
...yet people find it SO easy to jump on the moral high-horse and condemn anyhting that doesn't fit with their current belief system...

...but I guess that's what religion is all about, when it's all said and done.

Isn't that right?

Oh, oh, and less than 100 years ago it was pretty much illegal (at least in very bad taste) for a woman to go outside with barely more than her ankles showing...I'm sure we've all seen the news reels of the early 1900's of packed beaches with women pretty much covered head to toe...

The old woman...I mean I can understand why men would do it, given 40 (or however many they expect) virgins (presumably hot ones!) are waiting for them on the other side, but I'm not sure why an old duck would want 40 young boys fumbling and bumbling over her for 5 minutes at a time???...Guess at that age you take what the hell you can get.

...but a finally serious point...we all "laugh" at the thought of having a number of virgins to maul when we die...
...yet well over half the western world believe in much the same magical heaven...just without the un-christian, dirty, sexual reference.
Strange how people fail to make that connection sometimes...

Took about 10 minutes to read this thread, I don't really know what I was hoping for as I continued to read...what a waste of fcuking time.

I did get a few laughs so maybe it wasn't a total waste.
