That one rivals wilsons post where he said he was hugging and high-fiving the TV during Dubyas State of the Union Address.

Somebody less fortunate. Did it ever cross your mind that they are less fortunate for a reason? Let me make it plain and simple for you 1) get out of bed, 2) take a shower, 3) get dressed, 4) instead of using your medicaid money for a bottle of vodka, buy a $1.00 bus token and take the bus 3 blocks down Prospect Avenue to the Burger King, 5) walk in Burger King, 6) ask to speak to manager, 7) ask manager for application for employment, 8) fill out application for employment, 9) GET JOB. Any questions. Why is it a strange take for a Christian. Continueing to throw money at poor people is not going to get them to work. Remember the old saying about giving a man a fish and you feed him, but teaching him how to fish and he feeds himself. You keep on wanting to give him the fish. I'll bet you if you stop he will learn how to fish and feed himself. If he doesn't then the world is a better place. Where do you come up with this 60-70% of the homeless are mentally ill? I'll bet you no more than 10% are mentally ill. The rest just don't want to work and are looking for handouts. You aren't the bleeding heart liberal????? Oh yeah, thats right your a moderate. Ha ha ha. You are full of it. I feel sorry for those that DESERVE it. The guys injured in Iraq, the families of those killed fighting for there country and people who are legitimately suffering. However, I don't feel sorry for the French, the bums under the bridges, welfare recipients and anyone else who does not take responsibility for themselves. These bums bother me so much cause when I'm walking to the Jake, Nautica or down Coventry (where I live), I'm tired of these disgusting animals asking me and my date for money on every f****** block. Man I work hard and the last thing I want to see are these ingrates on a Saturday night. I assume from your name that you are from Cleveland. You ought to know better. This town was destroyed by the Carl Stokes democrats. It took Perk and Voinivich to bring it back. Your kinda thinking is reminisecent of the Hough riots and the dark days of Cleveland. Well, I'm glad we agree on something. It is a dog eat dog world and excuse me but I'd rather be eating than be the lunch. With regard to Iraq, despite the little problems that we are having now we have set these people free. The majority will thank us and we will be the shining light of freedom in the world. We are the best country in the world under Bush's leadership and other countrys will see that eventually. Sorry I also agree with your Clinton comments. As screwy as your thinking is you do have a sense of humor. Clinton did teach my family about oral sex. Sorry but I would have rather done that myself. I just hope one day you realize that we live in a great country. Bush is making it stronger and greater. If we have to give up some personal freedoms to defeat terrorism so be it. I don't have anything to hide. Do you?

Well I'll tell you when I won't be huggin and high fiving my buddies, is when this new, up and coming guy gives the keynote address at the socialist convention tonight. What the hell is going on with this country when the #2 party has a guy who was born in Africa running for the US Senate. Thats just great. To think, that these rotten democrats used subtrefuge to expose the personal life of Jack Ryan, the republican who this Watusi was going to run against and probably win in a landslide despite the crooked democratic politics of Mayor Daly and the rest of that unionized democratic town. I'm just wondering if those charges against Ryan about the sex clubs are legitimate. Seems like a Democratic plant to me.

Man, this one's getting good. True left v. right. I love it.

Unless djv spoils it and starts blaming bush for his lost retirement savings and trillions of (not his) dollars, and how he used to go to school every morning, walking, uphill, both ways.... in the snow.

I gotta say, Mr.(s) EAE seems to have the edge in this one up until now. The PC Police is still out for a comeback, though ;)

Just remember, who's actually looking out for the good of all "mankind" :142lmao: .... and who's just laying on the guilt trip. ;142loser:

Do you have diminished skills? The ten run rule was called three innings ago and the short school bus is on the way to take EAE back home.

Thanks Nosigar. I'm not sure you apologized, but anyway, your forgiven about that Haskell comment. That kind of stunned me because I've pretty much been in agreement with your political posts also. No hard feelings. Its not going to be my style to bash any poster here because everyone has a right to there opinion but I'm not sure where DJV comes from. I mean his posts are hard to understand and I'm not sure he speaks English real well. But I agree with you that when he comes into a conversation it usually goes to hell.

yes, because as you state below:

It is a dog eat dog world and excuse me but I'd rather be eating than be the lunch.

Of course i'd rather be 'eating' also, and you seem to be right on the brink of acknowledging that there are legitimate reasons for peoples plights other than war injuries. Think about it.

You keep on wanting to give him the fish.

Oh, did you read my post. I don't want to give him the fish. You must have missed that one.

I'll bet you if you stop he will learn how to fish and feed himself. If he doesn't then the world is a better place.

Wow. You are one compassionate Christian.

You aren't the bleeding heart liberal????? Oh yeah, thats right your a moderate.

The proper term is centrist.

With regard to Iraq, despite the little problems that we are having now we have set these people free.

This is one thing I never understood. How people can pretend to be so sympathetic to the plight of Iraqi civilians, yet treat the less fortunate among us right here in America with such contempt. However you want to spin it, it's illogical and ridiculous.

The majority will thank us and we will be the shining light of freedom in the world.

Yes, and as wilson says, we're the dose of medicine for peace in the Middle East. I see the majority of the world lining up to thank us as we speak.

We are the best country in the world

Yes we are.

under Bush's leadership

Ummm, I think you mean 'despite', not 'under'.

If we have to give up some personal freedoms to defeat terrorism so be it. I don't have anything to hide. Do you?

I always thought the Republican party was the one that always squawked about personal liberties and freedoms and how the government should stay out of our lives. If you think the Patriot Act itself does anything to help this war on terrorism (that we've basically taken a break from since March '03) then I have a friend I want you to meet. He goes by Dr. Freeze and I think you two would get along very well.

I always love that one. Why do you care if you have nothing to hide? Constitution and the foundation upon which this country was built be damned. This admin has some of you wetting your pants so much that you'd probably agree to weekly urinalysis' if they told you it's for the war on terror.

Look Kosar, I want to keep this civil. You and I are probably not going to agree on much but I think maybe if you tried going to church you might feel differently. You don't help the less fortunate by throwing money at them. Sounds like you don't believe in God. If I may further guess, you probably don't believe in creationism. I'm guessing you think we just evolved. If so, then the natural order is the weak die off and the strong survive. If the guy can't fish or learn to fish when his back is against the wall then he should die off and the society becomes stronger and a better place. I know idealistically thats not the right thing to say and I really know its not the politically correct thing to say but it is the truth in a Darwianian world. If the guy under the bridge dies because he can't fish, the world will be better off. If the weak Iraqis die because they can't fish, so be it. Again the world will be a better place. Jesus gave the less fortunate the tools to help themselves. If they did, fine they get heaven. If they didn't, they get hell. He sure as hell didn't throw welfare dollars at them. I agree with some of Dr. Freezes stuff and disagree with other stuff. I know you like to pidgeonhole people but I have some liberal values as well. Don't be so shortsighted.

Who the hell ever told you EAE that your tax money is going to the homeless. And many are Vets in case you thought those low life's were just black and white trash. And they live off there S/S. And thats about what you get from your S/S in the bigger city's. A spot on the street. And theres a hell of alot of other folks that cant pay the rent being asked and feed them self and get health care. No way $1000 a month will go that far. Yes you have your few that are just plane drop outs. And yes you have those who belong in a mental facilities. There are not enough of those to go around. And you don't have to worry. In most cities there ran by volunteers and donations. So you can keep your extra 10 bucks for another 12 pack.

Maybe i'll check out a Mosque instead. I hear they offer a lotta good shit when you die. Or maybe i'll get the local church, temple and mosque to get into a bidding war for my tithe.

Sounds like you don't believe in God.

I don't believe in being brainwashed by institutional religion.

If I may further guess, you probably don't believe in creationism. I'm guessing you think we just evolved.

What's that one with the loud explosion? The one where Zeus and Medussa come floating out of the atmosphere like paratroopers?

I'm guessing your not much into charitable contributions.

Jesus gave the less fortunate the tools to help themselves.

I'm guessing Jesus ain't exactly diggin' your jive.

He sure as hell didn't throw welfare dollars at them.

Jesus was disgusted with the welfare system in Jerusalem and therefore never voted for anything that would benefit it. Said, 'screw them, just a bunch of lazy Jews.' It's a shame that His welfare reform plan was scrapped after his untimely demise.

I agree with some of Dr. Freezes stuff and disagree with other stuff.

Yeah, Freeze once said that a family of 4 could live comfortably on 15k a year. He was on one of HIS 'poor people' rants. I'm sure you can relate.

Really not interested in that subject right now, Scotty. It's not necessarily a yes or no answer, or a black or white issue to me and I don't feel like getting into it.
