kosar quote:"As far as my 'partisanship' goes, wake me up when you post one article, or make one post that doesn't pander to the conservative way of thinking."
sorry if i came off too strong with my post.
i'm definitely not a conservative.
my past voting record i think supports more of a democratic way of thinking.
but that was my earlier years(lol)
i voted for eugene mccarthy in '68, mcgovern in '72, carter in '76, clinton in '92 & '96, & gore in 2000.
i am basically pro-choice, i want some type of gun control, & not big on religion.
on the other hand i believe in capital punishment, don't believe people should be getting welfare checks without making some type of contribution to society, & believe that whoever is the president derserves our respect.
there are other issues to discuss, but i think you get my drift.
my "conservative way of thinking" as you call it pertains to the war on terrorism. and since that is mostly what we are discussing here i may come off as a conservative.when other topics come up for discussion i may side with the democratic way of thinking.
9/11 changed my thinking.
terrorism is my #1 issue
basically, i believe bush is fighting the war the correct way. do i agree with everything he has done ? of course not.but i believe that most of the democratic party don't have any clue in dealing with this issue for numerous reasons which i don't feel like getting into.
but getting back to whether clinton was a hell of alot better than the rest of them.
i take it you mean in our lifetime.
if that is correct, i think history would show that reagan would be the best of our lifetime.
but that is not saying much since the others in our lifetime didn't do much to distinguish themselves.
and i believe history will show that clinton would be ranked average at best.
there are too many questions about him handling the alqaeda threat which leaves him as average.
again, i apologize if i came off the wrong way in my previous post.
