Posting this due to actual experience with tracfone

who is one carrier for govt who provides low cost or free minutes for those of us on SSI or who recieve assitance..


LONG story bear with me but have to give all details i also will post replies from 100's of others who got dry fooked by tracfone

ME bought new Samsung S390G phone with all the bells and whistles! It is now on way back to them for refund due to all functions not working as in i cannot even access wifi in my house and i'm sitting inches away from router!

SO 1st problem was when using using thier brwoser with no wifi thety deducted way more than 1 min for each minute you browsed the web!

THEN i buy minutes online and it took me 26 hrs or longer to get them had to serach for live help hotline and they werent to spiffy speaking english in that thck accent of thiers..

Also when switched to upper tech after getting connected to them they strted speaking mexicano or spanish to me!

second time i yellled PRESS 1 for english jerk off ! He said what who you calling a jerkoff?

LOL funny how they understnd jerkoff but cannot understand your normal english words such as i need to get phone activated then they say

sir u neddda ta geta nowa card sim account for nerwer heklp (typo on purpose here cause thats what they sound like)

SO after getting lied to by new carrier that i could switch my phone to them and tracfone's opertors lies i now have phone on way back to them.

Called em up after dropping phone in corner drop box. Secret secured package i told him using my hairs and ink pen marks at all seals so if package got tampered with they would know it because lines would not line up again!

Jack off JOSE' says we neeed tracking number LMFAOMi said hey buddy i sent a pacakge to florida they got it in 4 days no problems just regualr postage $298 because weight was 1 lb 7 oz.


HE also says that it will take THIRTY MF BUSiness Days to refund my money !!!!

I barked back after screaming joe pesci style at him YOU mean it takes you dopes to push a button and refund my money? of course i get the yabba jabber BS about processing!

FU i said your providing a gov't funded service do not you know that i know that i can call the FDCPA and FTC and light a fire under your ass !

I have notified both already and wtf they got my money in seconds and sent new phone to me in 3 days actually 1 day ordered it fri late got it monday afternoon next day shipping paid for!

Service disabled attempting to add airtime minute

I have tried through the phone, the 1 800 number, and online to add airtime minutes from a new card. The first two times on the phone, the send failed. I tried the 1 800 number and it walked me through the same steps as on the website.

The lengthy activation code always returns Invalid Code. Now when I call customer service I am told that it is being processed, to wait 15 minutes, then try a test call.

The service has been disabled since the last code entry attempt. Could you please help me get this phone back on line? It is the old 2285 being used for emergency calls for a senior friend and right now it is useless. Thank you.

No success. Tried them with the 00056 and 00057 numbers in front. Invalid code. The second time I tried without the 00056 and 00057, the second string just erased itself and I had to re-enter again. Inavlid ...

i havw this same problem i payed for a 200 min card did not get the mins the cards code was inveled so Catherine was helping me and gave me two wrong codes .. too enter into code entry mode ..now my cell is disabled what do i do to get my cell back on ... and get thoses 200 minutes... plese help me tonite

Help please, I have added airtime and my service time says upon turning my phone off then on again that I have more than 4,150 service days available but my phone will not work and states that my service has been disabled! I have been a loyal TracFone customer for multiple years and this is the first time I have encountered this issue! I do not know what to do and the wait time to get through by telephone takes too long. Can you please assist me with fixing this problem this problem is making my ability to keep in contact with my children and immediate family wh*all live out-of-state? Please help, PLEASE?

I have this phone but it won't turn on anymore. I let the service expire about a month ago and just reactivated it but since it won't turn on I can't get it to update. I would like to transfer service to another Tracfone but without this one turning on, I can't do anything. Can you please help me? Thank you!

Still not resolved: New Tracfone didn't get double minutes

I bought two brand new LG 500G's directly from the Tracfone site that were supposed to automatically come with double minutes for life. See here, it CLEARLY says "Double minutes for life" : http://www.tracfone-orders.com/bpdi...ction=view&productVariantExtensionId=10369551 My order number was: 6045379

Anyway, I activated the first one through the automated tool on Tracfone's website for a new phone number and with a 400 minute 1 year pin, and a promo code for 200 minutes.

I only received 400 + 200 + 20 new activation Tracfone free minutes = 670 minutes total.

I SHOULD have received: 400 + 400(doubled) + 200 + 20 = 1020 minutes total.

I plan on transferring my old 2005 Tracfone number and minutes, etc to the other new 500G later, but now with this issue of not getting my double minutes for the first new phone, I am quite concerned I'll get ripped off on that one also.

Can somebody help me get my doubled minutes? I've made enough posts to receive and respond to pm's.

This still isn't resolved since my first posting 3 days ago. I have not heard anything back from anybody beyond the pm from Debbie (she got all my info, and said she sent it to somebody in an email), and I still don't have my additional 400 minutes I should have received at my first activation.

Can I get this resolved please? Or at least a follow-up pm saying somebody is really working on it, or will be working on it?

This issue is still not resolved. My new Tracfone has been activated for over 1 week, and I still don't have the 400 minutes I should have received. Debbie, the admin who got my info via pm, has not replied to a pm I sent the other day asking if anything was being done on this issue. She said "resolution in 24 - 72 hours", and that was last week Friday! That's been enough business days since then to take care of this.

Please let me know what if anything is going on with my issue. If you can't or won't give me the 400 minutes, just tell me that.

Lg phone will not change when I go from one tower to another. One rep said to turn off and then on. That gets old all day long. Missing calls, goes right to message. Sometimes will change to no service even though I have not moved. Phone has signal bars, but no service appears on screen. Emailed tracfone and no response.
Talked to five or six reps, no help ,just scripted blather. Transferred to another rep with same scripted speech.
Reps call out tons of number to punch in with no improvement. One rep said problem was solved, just wait awhile.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx IMEI
Another rep said wait awhile and tracfone was making deal to use other company towers.
Another rep said call in when phone was malfunctioning so they could check it. How ? Find a pay phone he said.
One rep said stay in coverage area. Another said move closer to tower. Another wanted to know zip codes where phone won't work also streets, county road numbers. Then said phone must be used in zip code that it was bought for.
I had nokia 1100 tracfone and it worked everywhere and other states too.
All this and I hope I can get help. Been customer for many years.

My Nokia powers off on it's own, and then I can't turn it back on. I have to take the battery out, then put the battery back in to get it to respond and power on. The battery is fully charged.

Here is another little problem with the phone that is kinda funny, when I call someone, the name on the caller ID is a woman's name who I don't even know. I bought the phone from Wal-Mart, could they have sold me someone another person's refurbished phone?

Got the same old problem. Went to purchase minutes online, says my phone has problem, enter 00 number code, says ok, but when I attempt to add minutes again, says a problem, had to enter code, says ok. Go around in circles.

Minutes Not Added to Phone

My value plan minutes are no longer being added to my phone. I contacted Tracfone about 8 months ago and they said problem was resolved. However, nothing has changed. I had over two thousand minutes so I wasn't worried about it. Now I am down to about 28 minutes and I need to get the situation resolved or go with a different phone company. My credit is not being charged also. There is some glitch in your system. I am supposed to get triple minutes for life and I am signed up for the 50 minute plan. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I tried calling your 800 number using my wife's cell phone but was unable to get your computerized system to recognize the call.
