yeah IE .......looks like every forum has been effected......I know CFL, Off the Wall, Baseball and General Forum have lost stuff....some people's posts have disappeared entirely

and some have bits missing

Dial-up at home, had an ERROR tonight with the MJ server (8:00-8:30 CST) trying General Forum. Sat. and Sun., heavy traffic, have to log-off and log back-on to site. DSL at work, happens when I am on a low memory computer there, Sat. 1/2 hour before the first kick. Sun am same at home. Checked Fletcher earlier in Bases and a post or two was missing there also.

Ya, I made a few posts today that put me over 1,000 posts, then I came back on tonight and I was back at 999 posts!?

There was a post that I read and remembered from late this afternoon . . . took a nap . . . the post was gone when I woke up, and I seriously wondered if it had just been a dream . . . I'm glad to know that this explains it.

This site has always been slick on my cable modem when it comes to speed, EXCEPT in those critical hours of heavy traffic before the football games kickoff on Saturday and Sunday. I'll be able to judge then.

I remember this summer I was keeping an eye out for when the number of members would pass 5000 . . . I stopped watching for a few weeks and the number zoomed past 5000 like a telethon . . . I see there are now 5906 members . . . maybe Cow wasn't just kidding when he said a couple of weeks ago "I wouldn't bet this game with freakin' Jack's money! And I hear that supply is virtually endless anymore." LOL

I have a cable modem took, but I still think the site seems a bit faster. It's definitely faster than that pos ESPN.com

I know of 1 missing thread and several missing posts in General and sportsbook forums.

A few people had responded to my thread about security clearences which I was hoping to save, but they are all gone now.

Speedwise seems about the same. But the real test will come Sunday morning imho.

the move took about 4 hours.

Here at the office we're using some dedicated 128k (whatever) and it seems to be running slower.

At home I'm on satellite and it seems to run at the same speed...I'll know more this weekend.


Any of ya in the boondocks should consider satellite.
