I'm more apt to help those of the human species. Have 2 rescued dogs at my feet now however, so I love them too, but I have enough.

Look at this one. I was asked if i wanted to get this one a few weeks ago. Im not sure who this player is but i would bet it was the same guy who was getting great press (last week)with an inspiration speech last week.

12/24/10 - Chica was purchased as a puppy by some ex-Jets football player. This person sent her to obedience school and she was very well trained. Then they apparently suffered some spinal injury or something while she was very young and Chica was abandoned in his garage while he was in the hospital for weeks.
She was rescued by a friend and brought back to health- she was starved. The vet said she is small (42lbs) because of the malnutrition she suffered as a pup.
We are not sure as to how she ended up where she is now. Anyway they can't keep her because the wife was recently put on bed rest for placenta previa and cannot take care of the dogs. Chica barks constantly when crated and will eat the carpets when unsupervised and uncrated. The current owner has reinforced the bad crate behavior by going and petting her and talking to her while she is barking. So then he tried hitting the crate with a rolled up newspaper which didn't work either. So then he tried a shock collar which blistered her neck. He has not tried the one things that we would have done first which is a squirt from a spray bottle- so there is hope. The good news is that she only barks in the crate and she only chews when left alone uncrated.
He said Chica is very kid friendly as he has his 3yr old walk her on leash when he walks the other 2 (a Boston and a male Boxer). The 3 yr old uses Chica as a playmate and the dog tolerates being ridden and abused in all manner of toddlerisms.
She will dig out of the yard if left unsupervised. So she cannot be left outside alone.
Chica likes to be a lap dog and get 100% of the attention all the time. Owner said she is sweet and innocent and well behaved outside of the barking and chewing and digging.

My girl had one and she could put her kid anywhere and the dog would just sit there waiting for someone to act up with the kid. Great guard dogs. She had an alpha male and said she would never get one of those again. Now those are brutal to keep. She took it to school and owners passed it just to get it out of there. No vet wanted it around them and she had it from a pup. she also had two rescue dogs and couldn't have been happier. She said the Alpha male even beat a pit bull in a scuffle :142smilie

How do people just leave pets. I know a guy who left his pets home during Katrini. Kosar knows the guy. He would talk about all the stuff he stuffed in his car. Useless shit like video games but couldn't find room for the pets. Total piece of shit.
