whats a good remedy to fall asleep?? these last 3 weeks, i can't fall asleep until like 3am and than i have to wake up at 8am. its driving me nuts. i tried nyquil, sometimes that works, i even got myself wasted a few nights but that still doesn't work. i read books here and there, but still nothing. some nights my mind wants to go to sleep but my body gets all jittery and other nights its vice versa. i keep moving around at night, and i tell you it doesn't feel good to get hit with a pillow by your pregnant wife who wants to sleep. hope you guys can help.

Kdogg, is your wife due within the next couple of months? if so, get used to sleeping lightly (when at all) LOL ...

not to worry tho, as soon as the baby is born you will start to sleep like a rock while she is the one waking up to any tiny noise :D

Try buying some melatonin. use it as directed for a couple of weeks. Then wean yourself off of it by using it every other day, then every third day etc.
It is natural, not a drug, so that if you need to wake up, you can, you are not all doped up.
Your problem is that when you hit the hay, your body is very tired, but your mind is still wide awake, and you lie there with all these thoughts running through your mind.
I fall asleep in two minutes, and my wife hates me for it.
The melatonin will put your mind and body back in synch, and soon you will not need it. Melatonin is what makes the birds fly south, bears hybernate etc.

I have this problem also and I am definately a night person. Sometimes I only get four hours sleep but mostly about 8.

Power naps during the day help me.

OH
Have you tried Tylenol PM? Stuffs like an elephant tranquilizer for me. Good luck.

Nothing a nice 3 team parlay winner can't cure !!

Or, as someone mentioned, a couple of decent
sized swigs of Tylenol Pm or NyQuil PM usually does the trick for me.
