Never been one to play slots, video poker, or video blackjack. Probably less than 10 times in my life. Massachusetts only casino is set to open in a couple days literally 2 miles from my home (5 miles from Gillette if you're ever out this way. 1200 slot machines, no table games, live harness racing. The few times I've played slots, I've been bored senseless, so can't see myself heading down there very often. But then again, for those who don't know, I'm paralyzed from the neck down from an accident in 1986, so I have a fair share of time on my hands. Question is basically lives, does video poker/blackjack play exactly as a table game? Same odds same strategies? And is there a particular machines where the odds are a little more in your favor? Additionally, any recommended reading regarding video poker/blackjack?
