finally got a smart phone from ATT with a 2 yr contract free.


so the guy says.... you got 300 mb a month

that will allow you to surf the internet , email, and alot of stuff. That should be plenty for you for the month.

So I am in day 15 and I get a warning I am approaching 300 mg .

already...........

I only use it at lunch mostly to check news, weather, madjacks. And I play music I have already downloaded with our WiFi setting in the house.


occasionaly watch a video


so the charge if you go over the 300 is 20.00

for another 300

what kind of pkg do you guys get and how much

wtf am I doing to use that all up already ?

I feel like I am back when the internet wasnt free and they charged the shit out of us for chatting and all. :shrug:

get one of the new Obamaphones.......they are giving them for free to anyone on welfare.......or to anyone who is willing to act like they are on welfare.....an undercover reporter recently obtained three free Obamaphones just by hanging around a food stamp distribution office.....they are probably not smart but just carry an ipad with you......and don't forget to vote for a Democrat

We got lucky with our plan through AT&T. I had it prior to us getting together and I had the Complete unlimited plan, text messaging, pics, etc. So we got grandfathered in when they did away with the all unlimited feature. So I pay $20 a month for us to have everything unlimited yet. I use abut 500kb a month an he uses about 50kb. We have Iphones and I would like to maybe go to the Samsung Galaxy but I'm not sure yet. Need to go to the ATT store and see what the differences are. Everyone says going to a Galaxy from an Iphone is awesome.

This thread made me analyze my plan and usage. I have a shared plan with my wife and get unlimited calls and texts. I pay $80 extra for 6 gigs of data and I have never gone over 2 gigs. It's $20 less for 2 gigs and $10 less per month for 4 gigs. I'll keep an eye out on this. I keep planning on using my tablet but I still haven't been using it at all. Maybe this FB season? We'll see.

I think its only 120.00 right now on a shared 300 mg with my wife having 300 also

So far it looks like you and I use about the same. I do weather, news, scores, stock market, a little internet, GPS. I don't do movies or music at all. I also don't really know what's using the data. A few minutes ago was the first time I even checked it out with my plan and what I have been using. He prob sold me extra data because of my tablet but I never use the damn thing. I've had it 2.5 years and doubt I have 3 hours of usage on it and that was mostly the first week I had it.

yeh I dont do any movies or streaming.

he told me att to do *data# and it will tell me how much i used each time/


here is some shit they dont tell you


oh if you have apps and programs they update all the time and use data from your plan

I have a limited plan of around 300mb too.
Just don't watch videos for starters.
If you still go over stop streaming music.

Internet and forum browsing only will keep you under that limit.

I don't like watching videos on a small screen like a phone, it gives me a headache. :shrug:
