I agree with Gibber....it's very difficult to imagine the grip that nicotine has on your system. Of course, this coming from someone who has never smoked.

How the urge to put smoke in your lungs can overcome the will of a man is a strange thing.....

I hope the best for all of you guys who are fighting......keep up the good work.

Congrats! :mj06: :mj06:

Not so fast my friend... I'm doing quite well myself, ran full court 4 on 4 last weekend and held my own, no coughing... no wheezing, so I'm really happy about that. In my day I was a highly ranked tennis player in the Akron area and I'm getting ready to begin playing again. I stopped playing sports after a serious ACL injury about 10 yrs ago so its very exciting for me to rediscover a healthy lifestyle and I'm committed to move forward with this.

I find that keeping a ready supply of dum dums(suckers) replaces the craving for a smoke quite well, and its getting easier every day.

Chuckd in the house!!!

I'm am NOT A smoker!!! I wont pick up those damn things anymore. No chance, no way. I have made a committment to myself and there is no turning back. I quit smoking so I can feel better, so i can do more physical activity and so I can live a healthier life. Today was yet another battle and had to take 2 gums throughout the day but i feel great.

Last night I went for a jog around the block with my dog and actually ended up back in my house and didnt feel as bad as I did 1 month ago. I felt good and its nice to see the oxygen going through me and without coughing up a lung.

Today I signed up at Premier Fitness (Across from International centre for those in Toronto) and I'm hyped!! I love to swim so the pool really attracted me there plus the fact my friend goes there. I have a meeting with the kinesiologist (sp?) on Wednesday for the physical and really can't wait to get going. My friend works at Iovate (creators of muscletech products) so I think all the money I've been saving from smoking, I will spend on some health products.

I'M PUMPED!!!! The 5'10, 161lbs Chuckd is looking to get ripped by July.

Be strong and remember.
