The battle continues. Tough morning yet again. My hardest part of the day is from the drive from home to the office.

I feel better as soon as I get out of the car..

i am back, boys. i even sat with my wife in the garage while she smoked, to keep her company. i don't need those damn things.

(i'm trying to convince myself i guess)

anyway, today is going smoothly so far.

Jack, if you want to quit, you can quit. You are better than that. You have a wife and quitting smoking is all for you! Being a husband, you are a role model, people look up to you and even though the battle is tough you know its the best thing to do.

There is NO benefit to smoking. You're already cool. :SIB

Great job, guys!

Chuck -- this was about the toughest time for me because I would convince myself that I had it licked then get blindsided by the urge. I guess you just have to keep your guard up. It shouldn't take too long before you will go a week or so and not think about it. Then it will hit you how real your quitting has become.

I'm still hanging in there but last night I had a horrible time sleeping. Kind of seems strange this late in the game so I am hoping there was another reason. Guess I'll find out tonight and if I have a hard time falling asleep, I'll try a piece of gum.

Day 1 for me...I'm ok right now, but have the urge for a dip......might go get that gum or some sunflower seeds......I know the urge is gonna get worse, just have to buckle up

Day 1 for me. Had the final cigarette out of my final pack last night just before bed. I crushed up the pack and have it in my car as a symbol of how I'm gonna crush the habit.

Day #9. Worked too many hours. No smokes and No Liquor. 2 small cravings today, but they went away quickly. Saw quite a few members here at Costco come in riding wheelchairs carrying their oxygen tanks. Not Me!!!!!

A fellow gambler and drinker and used to be smoker said try green tea gum. It worked for him. Keep it going guys !!!!
