I think he is. Go through even his really old posts. They are moronic. Even his gambling posts. He is a huge fucking square. He is dumb all the way around. In life. On this board. With his diet. With strippers. It never ends.

He is going to die when a vending machine falls on his fat ass.

Explain this, my dad 280 lbs, his brother 140, same parents

You're gonna be built just like your father.

At your age I bet your dad was built about like you are, maybe thinner because he didn't have the fast food crap that is available nowadays. He started putting on the weight in his 50's and so will you unless you change things.

JMO and probably dead on.

I've seen pics of your dad, btw.

And you aren't fat but you do have some 30 pounds of excess from what I can see.

Where it is real F ing COLD
Are you saying 30 lbs over weight is not fat? What is your definition? I know 30 pounds on some and others is totally different but in the medical world 30 pounds over weight is fat

On a side note, the medical field is coming up with new ways to make money,

They are diagnosing many more people as obese these days. I remember when I started nursing 20 years ago, Obese was considered grossly over weight, now I'm reading charts where people are 10 lbs over weight are being diagnosed as obese,

Also the diabetic guidelines have changed too, see the medical profession has done much better caring for diabetes with patient teaching (exercise and diet), improvement of insulin (Lantus) and Oral Medications, Now they are changing the parameters as far as to what is good blood sugar. Used to be standard 80 - 120 without giving sliding scale regular insulin for blood sugars under 150. Now the guideline -s 70 - 110 giving sliding scale to any blood sugar over 120. Maybe it's because they understand more about it but I can't help but wonder if they didn't change the parameters for more business?

I don't know how many pounds he's overweight, I'm guessing, and the medical charts are worthless, IMO.

My nephew is 5'10, weighs 215 and guess what? He's thin.

You don't see HH walking down the street and your first thought is he's fat. Overweight, yes, FAT, no.

HH, post that pic of you "watching football on the porch at my parents house"

I guess some would consider that FAT but it's not FAT in my opinion.

If you want to split hairs, okay, it's fat. But most people would not be thinking that's fat.

I went and looked at the Picture on my FB.. I would not consider that fat, I think a doctor would but they are going overboard. That pic was over 2 years ago but if he shouldn't be getting shit about his weight by that pic anyways

Genetics does have something to do with it no doubt but most use genetics as an excuse to hide from exercise. Anyone who can exercise and make the right choices can lose weight,.

I agree that genetics does play some part but you have to take accountability for your own actions also. If you eat healthy and exercise but continue to gain weight then yes maybe genetics is part of the problem but if you eat McDonald's every day and weigh 350 pounds and have a ton of medical problems then that's on you.

My best friend is wasting her life away- She has twins that are 11 years old and I fear she will not live past the next 5 years. She is a heavy smoker and she is severely overweight. She has high blood pressure, she is diabetic, and she has leg issues which causes blood clots. Her health insurance has offered her 100% coverage to help her get gastric bypass so she can reduce her weight to help with her health issues and she REFUSED IT. Why?? Because she can do it on her own she says. (She has grown from about 280 to pushing 500 these last 11 years) This woman can't do a damn thing for herself and no matter how much you talk to her and encourage her she has it set in her mind that she needs to change nothing and she will be fine. (It's not her fault she's like this- its in her genes she says)Then she has the gall to tell her husband to be fit and get into shape because what will happen to her if he dies? This woman has no idea what this man does for her and we all feel so bad for him but he does it because if he doesn't he never hears the end of it from her and she uses her kids as leverage saying if he leaves her he will never see his kids again. I hate to tell her but if he leaves those kids would go with him.

So Hedgie- to say its all genetics- you are wrong. As we talked before I am lucky enough to have hit the metabolism jackpot. My fathers side- no. My mothers side- for the half. I choose to weigh what I weigh and it's my choice only. If I gain weight it's my own fault not anyone elses. I do fear that my kids will be diabetic because my exhubbys family are all diabetic and my grandparents were too but then again if you look at all of them none of them were under 250 pounds at any point in their lives. Explain why I have been thin my whole life and my little sister has done nothing but balloon up to 325+ pounds. She eats like crap and doesn't exercise. :0074
