last year was an aberration neither the giants nor patriots met the Plus 35 yards or more for 16 games.
This year how ever i doulble checked the results using yahoo sports using box score for each game that shows yards per game + or - turnovers etc..
i'll just show the totals
Ravens were negative ypg for most of season
but wound up plus +10.37 yards per game and thats not good it is 25 ypg low
+9 in turnovers
and ravens defense was horrible ranked 26th at seasons end in november was ranked 27th
this is not championship material
now 49ers defense ranked 2nd 6th vs run 5th vs pass
+67 ypg + 7 in to's so they hold 32 yards more per game than the minimum required
Ravens are 25 yards per game short
now i looked at both teams schedules and 49ers was brutal with away games at beginning and at end
they were away at start 3 games out of 4 at end on road 4 games out of final 6
these were the teams they faced notice most teams were winning teams this year and last

ok i know 49ers tied with rams and lost to them but last year Giants lost both games to the horrible redskins so it's kinda like showing up at a formal dinner with spaghetti stains on your shirt lol!
also 49ers roster has superbowl champs on it.
