he (the judge) will send his decision by mail :wtf: and we should have it in 3 to 4 weeks.

it was only small claims court (max of 6k award). to take him to real court would have or could have cost me $10k + and could only win about that amount. :shrug: lawyers, you know :rolleyes:

I may have to go to small claims sometime soon in Virginia against a company that tried to defraud me $600. Hope it works out well for you and keep us updated!

yup...blew my mind that he showed but probably a good sign that he did show because he must care about getting a judgement against him. i figured he wouldn't show and i'd never collect but maybe i'll be able to. when i win i'm going to lean a couple houses he's building now. not sure if it will fly in court but i think i can lean them and it's decided in court. my defense for the leans will be; he's using my money from my house that he never completed to build and profit on other houses. why should he be permitted to sell and profit without cleaning up and completing old business. i'll let you know how it turns out.
