FOXBOROUGH -- Here we go, again.

Another allegation of the Patriots bending the rules has surfaced in the wake of New England's convincing 45-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game.

Last week, it was the Ravens griping about the Patriots substitutions on offense. This week comes a report focusing on the amount of air in the footballs at Gillette Stadium.

Longtime Indianapolis scribe Bob Kravitz writes that a source informed him that the NFL is investigating the possibility that the Patriots deflated footballs in Sunday's night's game against the Colts.

Ok, so who fondled Indy's balls?

Would they not get previous possession ball?

I doubt if it accounted for the 5 TD drubbing.

If your D is on the field for longer periods of time because the ball your chucking has been tampered with.....maybe.....

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Belechick coached the Browns from 1991-1995

His record with that "talented roster" was 36-44 .450 he was booed out of town.

The Browns in their resurrection since 1999 are 84-172 .328

Looking back, I would call Belechicks term in Cleveland very successful.

There is no denying he can coach....given some talent.

With his current success, there is undoubtably a ton of sour grapes out there.

IF there is any validity to this, my question is why? They would beat the shat out of the Colts anyway - why even risk it?

Trent Dilfer: "It's actually harder to throw a deflated ball that it is an inflated ball. I hate the whining after losing."

Just something he said on Cowherd. :0corn

Well said......

I think he puts together a hell of a team with a limited amount of superstar players too. Brady, Gronk, and Revis are the superstars on that team. Arguments can be made for others, but look at the other great NFL teams. They have like 5 or 6 superstars. I'm sure you catch my drift.

So how long does it take to weigh a few balls?

Did anyone think to figure, the low pressure system on coast dropped like 100 millabars (spelling) which many times will effect any inflated ball?

I'm not an astro-physicists, but if my memory recollects, the game balls for kickoffs were not the same balls used for in game plays and it was raining and pretty brisk plus the fact the low pressure was basically sitting on top of the Massachusetts area, it makes the ball do funny things.

Perhaps we could get a weather channel expert in here?!! :142smilie
