.

Is beating Arky a big win? Hard to say, but they did lose to USC by 36.

Extended inferences in College Football are for people that are trying too hard to prove their point....

If you really want to go down that road. I can waste both your time in mine posting similar statements about 'Michigan Quality Wins' against teams that were punked by others.... move along....

How about this for an argument?

Name me an SEC team that beat a non conference foe on the road this year.

I personally think Michigan is the better team, but you can't deny that at least the Gators won their conference, and a conference perceived by public perception to be the toughest year in and out.

Florida has a loss. Michigan has a loss. Michigan is the better team and would be favored if they played. That's all that should matter under the current system.

Come on, dude. Just go look at the stats and find out for yourself. Once again, a truly stupid set of inferences. Plenty of SEC teams beat quality teams away from home. I started compiling a list to piss on your bullshit fire and got tired after running up about a dozen.

No doubt UM is a good team and if they lost to ND or Wisky or some other northern school early in the year rather than OSU late in the year, I'd have a hard time arguing against them.

Who wants to see a team that came in 2nd in their conference? Where's are the TV numbers in that?

BIG TEN: GROW A SACK, INVITE ANOTHER TEAM INTO YOUR TIRED LEAGUE, HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP, THEN YOU CAN TALK ALL THE SHIT YOU WANT.

let's see that list hombre:shrug:

You're the one that made the asertion, HOMBRE.
Go waste your time proving your point.
When you do (and, by the way make sure you do the same with your beloved wolverines), post it for everyone to see.

Until then stop with the stupid and baseless inferences.

Its not baseless, because its true. Name one road win by an SEC team vs a ranked team this year, out of conference. You can't, because it didn't happen.

Here's my point, the SEC continually plays NO ONE out of conference, then has a big circle jerk all fall and declares itself "the best conference in the country". That, I have a problem with.

in my opinion its not even worth arguing about. it should be not a question of who goes between the 2. it is easily florida. florida is the better team, and for the guy who made this thread to say michigan would dominate them, hes talking out of his ass. michigan freakin LOST to ohio state.....why would we want to see that game again? florida on the other hand, won the hardest division in college football and had a much harder and better quality schedule than michigan did. michigan is so overhyped because of that cake division. i think wisky would give them a run for their money. you can not justify saying michigan deserves to be in this game when the team LOST to the other team playing.....that makes no sense, why would we have to have a rematch? we know who the better team is between those two, its already been proven. also, michigan didnt win shit this year. they dont have a conference title, ohio st and florida do. florida goes. period.

You know, I'm tired of arguing with you. Not because I like being right, but because I hate typing....

Lets look at the 'non-confernence ranked teams that Big Ten teams beat on the road' (as pointless as your argument is; you want to make it against the SEC, so let me retort):

WINS:
OSU over Texas - You remember OSU, don't you? Of course, its the team you obsess over and hope to win the Big Ten Champ...., wait, no, that was already decided. UM's #2....

Mich over ND - whats ND's record over +.500 teams?

THATS IT, MY FRIEND....

Now, lets look at 'Big Ten Losses against non-conference ranked teams'

Minn. lost to Cal
Purdue lost to ND
PSU lost to ND

Other than a weak ND team that should be in the Big Ten anyway; where are all your BIG NON-CONFERENCE AWAY VICTORIES?

My guess is Michigan will go. I think Florida should go.

Worse, I wouldnt be surprised if the result would be different if the vote was not tomorrow. Not enough time for a groundswell....

Michigan's schedule is terrible. 3 patsies and (hard to say) over-hyped Notre Dame to go along with a very average Big10.

Florida has had some ugly wins, but wins nonetheless. SCar should have won easily and Ark prob. beats them w/o that bonehead punt returner. But, FLA did win both games.

SEC is w/o a doubt best in country. Fla's OOC schedule is not great, esp with FSU being down.

Fla won their conference. Michigan did not. Not only that, but lets reward a conference for having a title game. ND should join BIG10 and their should be a title game.

Overall, I am totally against a rematch, but if FLA had lost, then I would have welcomed the rematch....b/c thats how the system should have worked. It should have dropped Michigan to about 6th after its loss.
After that, ND, USC, Ark all lost, which puts Mich at #3. If Fla had lost, Mich should then have moved back to #2 and played OSU for title.

Florida is the only choice.

I know this is going to be debated for years to come. But didn't a few years back Flor St. beat Flor in the Sec title game and then Flor beat Flor St. in the Sugar Bowl and were proclaimed National Champs! How soon we forget. I am a huge Michigan fan and I truly do not want to see the OSU/Mich rematch again, because Tressel owns Lloyd. When this was happening all we heard was how great a coach the Ole ball coach was for making adjustments in the rematch and not about all the other teams that had won their conf. When in fact Flor had finished 2nd to Flor. St. but were clearly the 2nd best team in the country. Now isn't this the same scenario!

J-Mack, you're kind of right and kind of wrong. That did happen but it was just an out of conference game like always. Flo st was never in the SEC.

As for me, I don't want to see Mich Ohio St again. If it was played earlier in the year and Mich had improved thru the year, then yeah I would want to see it. But it was just last week and they will still be the same team. I really didn't think the first game was that good. I never really had a feeling Mich would do it. You Mich fans will disagree but that's because it's your team.

I'm just pissed we won't see Mich LSU, that was a game I was looking forward to.

apparently, you missed the wisky-michigan game.

if you think florida is straight up better than michigan, you need to get your head examined.

i hope we get florida-osu so everyone can see what a complete total shit game that would be. michigan-osu will be close, the first game had a lot of bizarre plays and this would be at a neutral site.
