I've been on three cruises and loved every one of them. Went on Carnival the first time - more of a younger, fun crowd - and Norwegian the last two - freestyle cruising (so to speak). I would not hesitate to go again in a future vacation down the road.

We did Princess to Alaska they have anytime dinning so you don't have to sit at a certain time.
Our favorite cruise line is celebrity but it's scheduled dinning.
These are the two we like.

jake....

the problem is somebody my wife knows told her the best time to go is the latter part of august. that's a bad time for me because it's the start of football.
.
Pops, it's 2007. I think you can find all the internet you need to continue your degenerate lifestyle on a boat or in a balloon or practically anywhere. I suggest you give in to mom on this one - it'll score you major points that may very well save the marriage.

yes...but if i go during late august it deprives me from betting football for a little while.....how are you going to maintain your lavish lifestyle without working...unless you can live with your uncle gardenweasel.....how's that sound. i can't let you live with uncle stevie...he thinks there is a conspiracy for everything & you'll come home more paranoid than you normally are...so you can understand my plight...

How will you not be able to bet? Don't they have internet?

I don't trust uncle weasel. Last time I stayed with him, he tried to feed me poisonous pistachios.

Al,

I just got back from my first cruise 2 weeks ago.... 7 days in the western carib.... You need to take the wife...immediately! In addition to the scenery and relaxation, they have 1 deck blackjack, if you stay sober enough to count a few cards, and the one I was on had 1 table poker tourneys.... Easy money.... I paid for our trip. :SIB

RoyalCarib.... Freedom of the Seas. ;)

p.s. There's an Irish Pub on the ship.... If you go, say hello to Kris...and stomp your foot to "Drunken Sailor" for me, will ya? :)

:00hour (that's for Jaek)

i heard that the key to combat motion sickness is to get a cabin that's in the middle of the ship.
that's the worst thing you can do.

why is it worse ?

a travel agent told me that there isn't as much rocking by getting a cabin that's in the middle of the ship

Don't worry about it they have plenty of remedies for it.

Your travel agent is right.

This image taken from Alpha TV via AP Television News Friday April 6, 2007 shows the bow of the Greek cruise ship 'Sea Diamond' surrounded by life rafts as the ship sinks off the island of Santorini, Greece. The Greek cruise ship 'Sea Diamond' sank off the Greek holiday island of Santorini Friday, after the vessel struck rocks and nearly 1,600 people on board had to be rescued. The Sea Diamond sank shortly before 7 a.m. (0400GMT), 15 hours after the accident occurred and the ship began listing and taking on water. Authorities said two French passengers _ a 45 year-old man and his 16-year-old daughter _ had still not been accounted for, and lists of rescued passengers were being rechecked.
