Why on earth would they risk their entire operation for a few thousand more.

gl
.........................................................

they wouldnt for a few thousand but they would for a few million.

Its just too easy to set up ringer players in games that can see the hole cards or however they decide to manipulate the software.

It would only be discovered by someone reporting on them. So if the person you are losing to is the house ringer, then you would never really know it.

Again, it's not that easy. There are hand histories of every hand you are dealt into where you can see your cards and everyone elses involved that was involved at the end of the pot. You think serious players don't look at them and look for abnormalities. Of course not in the penny and $1 dollar games. But you can always see what the person beat you with and if he/she is consistently doing that. If a person is running at 60 vpip and cleaning up for over 1k hands then something is definitely wrong and way outside of standard deviation. This is how players get caught.

And yyz, your hypothesis about your friend on the phone is fundamentally flawed. Is your friend collecting $3 dollars a hand to deal it. I can understand if you want to argue online blackjack is rigged. You wouldn't hear a peep with me and I'd agree with you that its almost a certainty. But what many of you are failing to grasp is that the house wins every hand. They take $3 every hand at the mid to higher stakes and some variation of that at the lower stakes for hundreds of thousands of hands an hour. So your friend might very well lie to you because there is only one winner and loser. Him or you. Same with blackjack. There is only one winner, you or the dealer. But poker is different because there are 2 winners every hand. Every hand a player wins and the dealer wins. They get their cut no matter who wins.

You can all choose to believe what you like because cheating, bots and collusion do exist. All I'm saying is that there are two reputable sights where the rng doesn't appear to have any flaws or cracks, and in over 5 years, all cheaters have been dealt with and funds redistributed. Don't think for a second that players don't assess all situations and can spot virtually anything on the reputable sights.

Pretty much totally agree with BDB.

The problem is a lot of the people who are trying to make an argument about how online poker is rigged never even played online or might not even understand how something like rake works....or just plain aren't good enough to win.

Also with all the access out there to the players histories and stats, etc. along with the technology stars has to detect foul play, you're just pretty much clueless if you think a top site such as pstars would risk losing it all by any type of cheating or skimming.

On the course!
I have never played poker online, so I am not making any formal claims, here.

But in anything where greed gets involved, the hustle begins. Someone is always looking to make more. These sites might be on the up and up, but all they need is one greedy employee with the ability to "get the job done".

What if this guy creates just one account that makes him some extra cash? If he sets it up to win some days, and lose some days, but come out ahead in the long run......who's to say anyone would catch it? I'll defer to the guys who know more, but it SEEMS possible!

And if it is........I'd hate to be the guy who lost a few hundred or more of his cash on one of those hands.

I'll bet the places that are under fire were AOK in people's books at some point in time, too! Once shit hits the fan, it's easy to say, "Why anyone played with them is beyond me".

I wish you guys the best, and hope nothing does go wrong for you.

I agree with everything. I have never played on line either .

The thing I worry about is the companys have the resources to come up with the newest things to bring in money that the average player would never think about. Until years later and the damage has been done.

Sorry I just can;t buy into the totally on the up and up saga .

yyz and KOd if you have never played online poker or studied i cant understand how in the hell you can form an opinion on it.

i have played almost since the beginning of it's inception and have seen many sites come and go. but as bdb has stated fullt tilt and stars are the creme de le creme of online poker. they have entirely too much to lose if they somehow lost their reputation, got caught cheating, or rigged it in anyway.

i play roughly 150-200k hands per year which isnt alot for online poker standards. i play 1-2 to 5/10 nl and play a 16-11-5 style that wins me money. i get 27% rakeback and have consistently made 1k-2k per month for years in side income. i find it 100% legit at Full tilt and dont have a worry in the world except for what could happen from outside influences ie the USA gov't.
