the league`s been an unmitigated mess this year...

several(actually many) perennial playoff teams were/are devastated by injury(cowboys/ravens destroyed by key injuries...pats/cincy/steelers/k.c./the packers/the colts/denver all have absolutely key personnel down for extended periods....some will head into the playoffs without those key personnel)...all the injuries have made any sort of continuity for many teams near impossible...the seasons been pretty much a mess(the afc in particular) with incomplete teams like Carolina becoming dominant...


in a more normal year,teams like Washington and Houston should never have sniffed the playoffs(respective divisions fell off the end of the earth..getting in by default)....they`re not all that much different than the teams that failed miserably last year...they`re getting in because other teams are hobbled...

Well said. And that's why I kind of like the Seahawks to win it all. Or the Steelers could run the table or lose by 24 next week.

I'm a homer, to be sure, but I continue to be impressed by Kansas City. They have a great thing going on right now. If Alex Smith is still considered to be a game manager, he can continue to manage my team's games. Like you mentioned, Wease... the injuries to this team are pretty big, and they just keep performing.
