that same thing happened to me but not in the same manner.

i was the winning bidder for a Cadillac @ $4200 so i called the place in Houston to arrange a pickup time. No answer so i left a message. Next day went by no return call so i decided to e-mail the salesperson. no replies for the next few days.

i started reading the fine print of the ad and discovered the 7% state sales tax that i was not aware of which would have tacked on a few hundred more bones so i just stopped pursuing the guy.

i'm pretty sure that he received a better offer from a local customer since it sold so cheap on ebay. I have to assume this type of thing happens all the time on ebay. The only thing you can really do is give the seller negative feedback, which will probably have no negative affect on their business.

the seller has only a (1) feedback rating. you'd have to be nuts trying to buy a big ticket item with a seller with no feedback.

nothing will happen to the seller.
