YYZ came to a SB party 3 or 4 years ago and still gets the snipers talking about his picture(s).
And like he says, it's always from the people who would never show up anywhere, much less have their picture posted.

Agent, I think everyone who goes to these events, and gets their mug photographed, kind of "signs a rider" to have the pictures posted here, by virtue of letting the pictures get taken!
The SB party I was at was great. Even if you piss in the pool of a poster here, once you meet with them, it's another story. The "real" people out there are all great, with no exceptions. I didn't meet a bad egg out there.
I am in Florida right now, so that was an obvious conflict in schedule with the Vegas gig, but I have no doubt this site will have many "get togethers" in the coming years.
All that being said, the people who continue to "pile on" the real people on this and other sites, are always the ghosts who never show up anywhere.
That anonymity gives them the ability to cry, "You're ugly......you're fat.......I wouldn't hang with you losers anyway"......etc
Sadly, some great times, and great people are missed by these "ghosts".
I encourage you to make future events, and you will be surprised!
