Here's my theory.

I'm guessing Eggs represent death. Just like the godfather with oranges... Ralphie cooking eggs before dying, tony walking on egg shells when realizing he must kill tony blundeto, adriana asking christopher if he wants eggs right before, carmine has an egg salad before stroke...

Well now tony is selling the business which is a chicken/egg store. This probably represents tony wanting out of the business of "death". Last thing we see in this episode is patsy leaving the store with a carton of eggs..hmmm

haha...

you know vito might not ever get whacked, he has johnny cakes for breakfast everyday instead of eggs. And, If he had regular pancakes, those are made with eggs..but the cook specifically said they are made from corn meal.

Missed this one..

"Tony and his goomara, Valentina have just finished having sex when she heads for the kitchen to make him something to eat. While she prepares a not-so-hearty repast of egg substitutes and toast, she tries to convince Tony to go to Antigua with her. "You're getting a goddamned divorce, " Valentina complains, "and I see you less than before." But as her tirade heats up, so does the sleeve of her kimono. It catches fire from the stove and in a matter of seconds, her hair is ablaze as well and Tony is wrapping her in a blanket, patting out the flames."

the sopranos has turned into a soap opera & has become boring....
I have to agree, I'm losing patience with this season. After last night's episode my girlfriend, who has watched all 7 or so episodes with me this year, said "I don't think I am going to watch this anymore".

After 3 episodes I thought, ok, give it a bit more time, they're setting the stage for the rest of the season. But I had the exact same thought... this has become a soap opera. It used to be action all the way through, unexpected turns and twists, very fast paced, quick wit & sarcasm, you name it. Now it's drawn out....just not enough going on. It's like they are stretching every show, milking every storyline. I believe they've just run out of good story ideas. Following Vito come to grips with his life in upstate NY, or AJ struggle with realizing people only want to be with him because of who his dad is, just does not make for very compelling television.

today (Wed.) the New York Daily News, in the TV/Entertainment section strongly implied that Vito will get whacked in this Sunday's episode.

"the bunker"
have to disagree with my buddy,ar..i think the show`s gotten better and better since tony came back.....

i was ready to give it up after the first 2....but,i`m back on board...

if anything, the dialogue is even sharper and funnier...christopher is so good,it`s scary...

first he rolls lauren bacall for a "gift bag"....

then,this classic...christopher talking to "sir"ben kingsley"..trying to sell his movie ...

"the writer of our project did some stuff for Law and Order,"""the""" S.U.V"....

"the" s.u.v....classic... :142crying

i'll agree that the bit with lauren bacall was very funny..as well as the suv line....

but come on gw... did you turn into the sopranos to watch a mobster have a homosexual kiss with another guy ?.....

or watch the escapades of soprano's dysfunctional son stumble through life ?.....

not me...

when i watch the sopranos i want to watch murder & mayhem....

IMO sopranos is on a different level. So many little things in episodes that most people don't even catch. Every season after an episode with no KIAs the 'not enough action' complaint is made. But even in the most grusome horror movies there has to be periods without this, so that when it does happen it has more of an effect. But even when there is no 'action', the writting is way beyond anything else on TV.

"the bunker"
i hear you bro....

the homosexual stuff makes my teeth itch...but,it doesn`t really bother me....

i think if it were "the valentines day massacre" every week,it`d get boring pretty quickly....strangely enough,i was on the other side of this argument earlier in the thread... go figure...

a.j. is such a sloth,i find it fun to watch him devolve...he`s a chip off the old block..

i`m with loudog...imo,the best writing on t.v....you never know what to expect week in and week out...

also love deadwood....

let me clarify...

i really don't mind the son feeling his way to manhood....

i also like the planning & chatter between the boys....

however i don't like the mobster making out with the cook....& tony not ordering the boys to hunt vito down......it's not real enough for me...

Any one catch the time paulie called the dr.: Three O'clock...This was the time christopher was told to give Tony and Paulie from hell. Here's the recap of that episode:

Seaon 2: From Where to Eternity

With friends and family by his side, Christopher clings to life in a hospital ICU. During the night he codes as the doctors attempt to resucitate him. He is pronounced clinically dead for over a minute, but the doctors manage to revive him. Fearing for his life, Carmela vacates an empty room and prays that Christopher will recover and "see the light". When he is conscious, he asks to see Paulie and Tony and tells them of a trip he made to hell where he saw Brendan Filone and Mikey Palmice in an Irish bar and they had a message for Tony and Paulie: "Three o'clock."

Tony dismisses Christopher?s story, but Paulie becomes obsessed with the message. Paulie is scared nightly at 3am and has nightmares that wake his girlfriend's children. He eventually seeks the help of a psychic who claims to see the spirits of the men Paulie killed following him. Believing his donations to a church should have prevented him from being haunted, Paulie takes out his frustration on a priest, telling him he won't be giving any more donations.
