Tattoo Artist Sued Over Misspelled Tattoo
Chicago mechanic Michael Duplessis is suing Jade Dragon Tattoo Inc., a Northwest side tattoo parlor, for misspelling his tattoo. The suit also claims that the parlor "fraudulently induced" him to sign a liability waiver.
The mechanic wanted 'Chi-Town' on his chest under an image of the John Hancock Center but instead he got 'Chi-Tonw'. According to the complaint he has had to undergo tattoo remediation procedures.
In the suit Mr Duplessis states that the misspelled tattoo has caused him "loss of self-esteem and psychological pain and suffering" an "emotional distress from public ridicule".
