Happy Hippo..great story....reminds me of about 200 or more in my life....nothing like HS hoops....I look back on my career and can only remember losing on a last second shot 2 or 3 times...that was out of about 430 games...and won on the last second shot or last possession 20 or 30 times....I followed Al McGuire and Hubie Brown....practice,practice your last possession plays over and over again...from under the basket,mid-court,full court...etc...I never in my life ended practice shooting FT's or suicide drills...we always practiced on down 1 ,down 2 or down 3...so many times the newspapers or other coachs would say " we got lucky" when we won...but it was never luck...when you prepare and execute it ain't luck....

Great points Box...Never been a fan of running the kids for making mistakes...Would love to see a few coaches run for screwing up some of the games I've wagered on though :SIB ...If you do the execution of plays/drills hard enough, the kids should be tired/in shape enough for game time.....I do like them to shoot free throws when their tired though......:0008
