Spreadsheet early picks - week 13

Ok, we're off and running. Got these so far...

Navy+2: Sheesh, not the kind of game that I'd expect the $$ to rate as a very STRONG play?

Dook -10: I'm a believer.

Iowa -6: Another STRONG sheet pick. IMO, Mich. is a tough team to back OR fade. They are one of the more erratic teams on my "Erratic Teams" list (LOL). Since the $$ really likes this play, I'm game.

UTEP +17

Miss -2 1/2 vs. Mizzu: VERLY interlesting! Now, I did my own analysis on this game, key player vs. key player, improving team or degrading team, and the one that does it for me for sure is the level of competition each has faced. I watched that AWAY game at Ga. and Missour was just great. They moidered 3 very good teams in 3 consecutive weeks and on the 4th week they suffered that TOUGH, TOUGH loss to the Gamecocks. The following week they went back on their murdering spree and dispatched a decent team (Tenn).

I believe that, so far for this season, the $$ beat me every time that I really liked the team that faced the sheet's pick and , as usual, I just didn't play that game at all. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to do an Obama on this game and veto the $$ opinion. Betta believe, I"M ON MIZZU. I am gonna concede one thing to the SHEET though - Mizzu is my BESTEST BET of this week and that means a double units play. I'll back off and make it a regular play instead.

I'm a little ahead on my own picks; don't make many of those though. OF COURSE, they ain't side picks cause I leave that up to the sheet. Got two I like...

Navy scores OVER 24 1/2 pts. That's what I'm hoping the no. will be.

Will play A.S.U. with sheets picks in some parlays! And maybe just put a 1/2 unit on each sheet pick?

Laughed when I seen Navy. I had already told a buddy at work that I liked San Jose St. That means Navy should be an easy win!! I am telling you- I suck! The best I do is when I fade my own dumb ass! It is not easy though and does not always work. But thus far, seems to be my best system. :facepalm::lol:

Jimboski: Just to be sure, your spreadsheet picks Ole Miss, but, your personal play is Missouri. Am I reading that correct. I agree on all your picks except Iowa is right at my number so to close to call. Thanks for your sharing your spreadsheet picks.

Giambi-Juice, When I see a game that I think may be a good candidate for the $$ to check out, I run it. I looked at the stats and thought about what I saw when I watched both, UCLA and Ariz. St play and really liked UCLA. I NEVER really know what the $$ is gonna pick it's soo complicated, but my guess was that it woulda picked A. St. Sooo.... .. I just didn't run that game and I'm gonna pass on it.

I usually cannot take requests to run something for somebody cause my "to do" list is up to my ears most weeks, but I'm ahead of schedule this week again and I can run it forya. STILL, I think it's best that I DON'T. How about I run it AFTER the game just to see who it pickED cause doing it before the game just might throw you off and the $$ is pretty dang good, but NOT INFALLIBLE . It really sucks that the site that posted their footaball spreadsheet stopped doing it this year cause I could feed it all the data it needs for ALL the teams right from their spreadsheet (use about half of what they actually post) and run ALL the games in a couple of minutes. The whole deal would take much less than an hour. Then I could just look up how ANY game got rated. Damn, all good things come to an end. IF you still would like to know before the UCLA game, just reply and I'll run it for you.

Navy? Tellya somthing, the $$ has been known to get a little too excited when it 'sees" an UNBALANCED team ESP. if they are hell bent on running the ball (and good at it) on offense. Remember how it kept picking Army? It DOSE like Navy a LOT, but I think that may be an iffy pick. :mj03:
Stop thinking like a loser; THAT DOES matter. Luck has nothing to do with being dumb or smart. In fact, in my book you're a smart cookie cause you keep them bet sizes down. Not that it matters, but you'll change my mind about that if you find a way to betem that starts to work for you and you significantly change it.

DT, I agree with you 100%; I like that Pitt/Cuse game to go under better than the Navy scores over xx pts. "sucker" bet. I'll be using each of those personal bets in two teamers, split them up into TWO 2-temers. Not both in one. . More goes on the Pitt /UNDER game.

I almost NEVER go against a SHEET pick, but in this case FOR ME, I'll be doing that and go with Missouri to cover. PERSONALLY, I like them a lot. So, in this case it's - me (the uderdog. LOL) vs. the SHEET (the champion). When I post this week's record it will ONLY reflect the SPREADSHEET picks.

I ain't done running the monster, should be at least one or two more coming down the pike. I hope.

Well, ALL cept one team is AWAY. That ain't good for for somebody, like me f'rinstance, who likes to make some small parlays in additon to one or three single plays. Using a barrel of AWAYS to make them doesn't seem like the the thing to do. I thought I'd try to come up with a Homie and, sure enough - I saw good ole UCONN just sitting there waiting for me to run that game and come up with my HOMIE. Ran it and guess what? Riiiiight... it picked UCONN . Son a mah BEACH !! :banghead:

Conn was rated a "FAIR" play and that means it doesn't go on the record, or the listing, nor is it gonna get played by me. Gotta resort to Plan B which is take my best shot at playing much heavier than I usiually do on THREE teams separately on the list and hope I can nail at least TWO of them. I think that Pitt/Cuse UNDER will be one of them, so make that TWO $$ picks. OR, I could play FIVE listed team for slightlly heavy moola.

EDITED: I had "Temple was rated..." .. shoulda been "CONNECTICUT was rated a "Fair". I fixed that.

I just cannot resist one stinkin parlay though...

I don't like to entice people to play along, but when I see some do.. I think I should mention that... Navy and Boston College and Duke are the strongest rated plays in that order. Navy and B.C. were really close and Duke was CLEARLY 3rd bestest but - hell, if it liked it a lot at - 10 which is the line I gave it.... it must LUV it at - 5 1/2 or -6 (whichever one it is right now). ALL THE PLAYS LISTED ARE EITHER "SOLID" or "STRONG".

The $$ may like that team, but I think I'll be steering clear of them for the rest of this season. I was expecting/hoping for Md. turnovers and got them but, it really ain't a good idea to back a team because of the expectation of T/O's on their opponent. The SHEET pick was what mostly made me take a nice bite on that pick. Not again on that team though.

Adding in, FOR ME/personal picks (not counted in the record) the O/U plays, looks like I'll be a wiener this week no matter what happens tonight. I think it's good advice to NEVER give profits back in one day once you get far enough ahead.

Just to enjoy a GREAT (to even just watch) game later - I got a fraction of unit on this parlay:

Okie St. +6 First half (Dimes offers that option to do a little shaving). Should be plenty of fireworks in this one.

EDITED: Sorry gotta add this even though it doesn't matter - I just put the TV on and I see Mizzzu/Miss game is on, it started about 5 mins. ago and it's 0-0 right now. I chickened out and didn't go against the SHEET. No play for me. Let's see if that was the thing to do?

Funny thing - it's 3 TOP picks, Navy, BC. and Duke were it's wieners. I actually did the right thing by hitting two of them extra hard. I did the wrong thing by making the parlay thingys, but the two straight bets made it a good week. Cashed on the Pitt/Cuse under.. the Navy team scores OVER got killed in a 3 teamer

Ain't it interesting that it was RIGHT ON with it's 3 highest picks and then ruins it's reputation with picks like OLE Miss. and UTEP (ugh).
