Sorry, I can't remember what the SS record is for the 3 weeks I posted right now. It's in my last thread - I've been working for the past 4 hrs., feeding/running the SHEET and checking all the stats and things the puter doesn't check to make sure the plays are worth playing, so I'm not gonna dig it up. But I know the record is dang good. (13-4?). Something like that.

Man, the SHEET is luvin the AWAYS today. Of it's top 10 picks, 8 are AWAY. :0

Oh, gotta mention - > CLEM , I didn't want to barge into your thread again, but I gotta tellya something about what I posted in your thread the other day. It's about that Okie/Kansas State game. When I ran the SHEET, I had the line at -7. Now, I ain't sure if that was a typo or what they REALLY opened up with?? Yes, the thang DID make Okie the pick.

Ba, BUT... for whatever the reason, Soonera are -14 right now. So .... . . I ran it again and the puter sez that the game is a NO PLAY. No big deal cause that just means that it believes it's 50/50 prop for EITHER team to cover. Still, wanted to correct what I posted in your thread.

Ok, here's the plays I selected from the SHEETS top 10 plays:

CAL -5

STANFORD -7

MICHIGAN -12 1/2 ( take it off -13 if that is the current line)

Hawaii -6 1/2 (may be same thing like Mich. game, take it off 7)

So. MISS -9 1/2

(yeah, ALL favorites this week. Hey, but favorites can win too, right?)

My side straight play to cover the cost of all parlays and also a profit to make all the hours I put into this project. Ugh, I cannot decide between 2 plays again this week. Maybe it's the pressure of keeping my streak intact thats the problem :) (actually, those two very nice parlays I have alive with one pending play (NOT St. Louis wins W.S) keeps giving me a headache today). You know, last night's game that the Rangers "won" THREE FREAKIN TIMES. Yeah, I've been making hedge parlays with St. Louis winning the dang series.

Well, here's the 2 for now. I guess you could call them the Best Bets:

Buffalo +5

Hawaii - 6 1/2

Let's leave it at those two. The other was Vandy, and that is a very strong SHEET pick. I'm just getting bad vibes with that play though. ???

Upsets? (M.L. dogs) per the SHEET ....

Buffalo M.L.

Vanderbilt M.L. (I already wrote about this one).

Good luck today.

more stuff

more stuff

I'd like to see some comments or suggestions re. the footsball plays though. Er, after the World Series maybe and we got our footsball hats on. Maybe somebody is curious about the other college plays in the SHEET'S top 10 (but, lets just call them LEANS). I'd like to keep sharing the picks. I ain't interested with the Views part. I got results for ALL the games too but, what works best, seems to be the way I'm playing it. Still maybe somebody is interested in a different game.

I KNOW everybody is watching the World Series .. er, ME TOO. Feel like I won this thing 3 TIMES yesterday; But, I'm hanging in there tonight with this thing :0033

I felt like this gymnist after last night's game...

I already got some insurance going that will come through IF St. Louis wins it all; played 3 parlays - one is dead, "won" had Pitt/UConn OVER 2nd half. Other "won" had FIU - 1/2 for FOURTH QUARTER (yeah, a sucker bet but it clicked). BOTH parlays had ST. Louis WINS W.S. at +245 cause I got these plays BEFORE last night's game. Added hedge plays with St. Louis -1 1/2 for the game that's on right now and each with one of the best college bets (I posted in this thread).

Bottom line is - a Texas win pays off BEST of all.

Looks like a run fest tonight, Texas looked awfully GOOD top of first scoring 2...guess what? - Cards JUST matched them in the bottom of the first.. AGAIN.

Enjoy all the BAWL games.

Ah man I like USC and UCLA... and you've been hot. Not what I wanted to see. Especially Stanford, they have covered so many games in a row dating back to last season, they are due for a nail biter.

Hmmm

Hmmm

Thanks for stopping by nDn. Don't know what to say bout your delemma :mj03:

I can tellya that Stanford was a bit stronger pick from the number cruncher than Cal. Add that to the fact that the cruncher picked, without a doubt, that USC would beat Notre Dame straight up. Yeah, I didn't play it that way either .. UGH

.. and NOW it's picking Stanford, as a strong play, to beat dem Trojans. :0

Looks like the SHEET is on target with them PAC teams.

For me, I think that the USC victory over ND may be a bit over rated and that really helps the line. Buying a stinkin pt. and taking Stanford at -6 looks like a pretty solid play to me. Asfaras USC winning today's game - I just can't see that happening.

BUT - probably the bestest advice I gots is - don't let a capper (especially if it's a "robot") take you off YOUR picks. In fact, that's why I developed this very complicated spreadsheet and took a year to make it and tweak it. Being a bit of a parlayholic, I got sick and tired of figuring out where/who the bestest cappers are and would sometimes use one of their picks to make my two teamers into three teamers with one of their picks. Kinda like a parlay "booster". Oh yeah, all too often it would boost my parlay alright.. RIGHT INTO THE DUMPSTER that is.

Plus, any of them really smart dudes can tellya that using quantitative methods (like math, stats, etc.) as a predictor of qualitative events (like BAWL games and other sports) is ridiculous.

Asfaras I'm concerned though - as long as it's working, the hell with them nerds. :)

Good Luck this weekend, nDn_Investor

DAMN, ALWAYS forget something...

nDn, here's a couple of the other top ten SHEET picks that I left out and maybe one or both of them agrees with a team you like this week?

Missouri +10 1/2: I am still thinking about using this one.

Mississipp State - 9 1/2: I ain't using this one. This fact alone might make it a good pick forya. :(

The lines are what they came out with which is the way I put them as data into the Cruncher.

I had a lean on Mizzou but going to pass. Well I got USC +8, so let's hope it lands on 7 and we both win!

Gonna add a couple more plays then go to bed. Good luck tomorrow!

OH NO :(

OH NO :(

Upsets? (M.L. dogs) per the SHEET ....

Buffalo M.L.

Vanderbilt M.L. (I already wrote about this one).

Good luck today.

Last week it was USC picked by the SHEET to upset N.D. ... did I play it that way?... NO. .... NOW, this week it's Vandy picked as an upsetter.. did I play it..... NO (bad "vibes").. SHEET!

Thems were up 21-7 SOB. :00x25 ...... SOB

Doesn't look like anybody's following the sheet anyways, so I'm just starting to feel a little better about writing that I HOPE them HOGS make a comeback cause blowing another nice upset ain't gonna feel so good. It looks like they are, just checked the score now and it's 21-17 Vandy.

I can tellyas that, from now on - I ain't gonna second guess the No. Cruncher on any of it's upset picks for the rest of the season. No mo of that sheet from me... no mo freakin "VIBES".

nDn, last time I checked, it looks like you and the SHEET are doing good with the Michigan pick :00x15 that one I DID include in my parlays.
Good luck with the other picks.

Really glad I posted that in your thread, nDn. That makes posting worthwhile. :)

Some more comments/suggestions and I'll keep on doing it. It is a lot of work - doing the SHEET thing cause there are plenty of steps I gotta do AFTER running it too and posting is the last step.

Hope it stays hot for awhile longer.

We'd my pic go??? :0

We'd my pic go??? :0

What happened to my gymnist picture?? That pick came off a site DEVOTED TO OLYMPIC GYMNASTICS. I'm hoping it's gone because of a Internet transfer error.

And what I wrote is true too.... I was jumping up and down every time Texas scored late in that game and just wound up making a bad landing.. er, .. like Texas did. Make that just like Mohini Bhardwaj was in for. OUCH!

Here ya go...
http://www.pbase.com/singlo/olympic_gymnastics_1&page=5

EDITED cause.. it was a little box with an "x" in it just before I posted this... just checked again and it's back. I just can't figure out these Internet protocol thingies. BTW, Mohini's pic is my favorite LOL.

LAST update for awhile... promise.

Just gotta mention that I see ALL the SHEET'S picks cause I do run EVERY stinkin game. After checking out the games that have completed and a couple that look like "cinches" (you kjnow like the Rangers in the 6th game of W.S.)... the Cruncher appears to be running on all cylinders.

That means that I'm adding to my late game plays.

Also, I feel soooo good that Vandy didn't pull that one out. I guesse Ark. nailed them late in that game. Avoided the upset and caught the +10 pts. .. NOW, I can just sit back and enjoy (I HOPE) the late games. :0028

Gooo RAINBOWS (warriors) :grins: and Buffoons.

reply and more

reply and more

Thanks Jim.
. Even if the line was 35 we were good today.

Oh yeah, you/Okie were good alright, Clem - yas moidered da bastages.

Guees this is gonna shoot up to the top of the listing cause I answered Clem. I better do my "Results n Comments" while I'm here:

16-6 (may be off by 1); I got too many numbers in my head to keep close tract of it. Correct me if it really matters better or worser or just let it be like I do. If it's off, I'm just about certain it may be only off by 1.

The important part to me is that it hits better than .500 every week so far (only posted since week 6 BTW). Forsho, it went 3-2 this week (I'll remember that till tomorrow :00hour }

I just go by my bankaroo and even then not that closely - its either up or down.... . it's UP. :)

Well, it's more fun to talk about the games and players like most MJers do.. and I gotta mostly stick to how the "ROBOT" did, but this may interest some folks and maybe help them to decide which one(s) of the picks to check out further:

- I only worked from NINE top SHEET picks this week cause the difference between the ninth best and tenth best was big. For those top 9, it went 6-3. I interpret that as," it looks like I ain't improving it by butting into it's business". :(

- NOT SUCH GOOD NEWS -> ONLY 3 losahs and TWO of them were the two I was trying to pick between as my BESTEST PLAYS. SHEET ! . I went with Hawaii instead of Buffalo to cover the parlay plus a little profit.. and just like last week ->IT DIDN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE, but unlike last week, this week it's cause both of those mutha jumpers were LOSAHS. SHEET ! again.

- Best job by the SHEET was Vandy. It picked that one as an upset special and they almost pulled it off. Tough, tough loss when their ace kicker missed that last field goal try. And that kid was pretty much automatic. I fed the sheet a line of +10 on that game and it still picked them straight up - nice job. I'm gonna think THREE times before ignoring the SHEET'S upset picks from now on.

-Worst SHEET picks - Ah.. the ones I liked bestest and also California. Each got pretty well clobbered. Things like that raise my eyebrows about trusting this robot and worser, myself. But that's just for THIS week.

- Surprises - I cannot figure how UCLA beat Cal by 17. NO WAY. And my robot friend agrees with me. I guess poopoo like that happens now and then when you play the games we play every week. Of course, there were many more of these surprises like the Texas Tech absolute TANK JOB, but I'm just focusing on the Sheet picks. Just in case anybody's interested - the SHEET yields 3 separate ratings for each game. One of them did pick Iowa St. (I entered a line of -11 for TT).

- Still scratching my head how the hell USC scored so many points vs. Stanford. Orca, we gots lucky with that game.

That's it .. do continue to pay me a visit so I stay interested in posting... Good luck NFLing.
