Spreadsheet pks. Week 8

Only 7 plicks this week! Good sized gap between nos. 7 and 8.

Don't the plays look like they came from somebody who doesn't know a thing about college footsbawlers? I mean, like - just pick the favorites will small to medium spreads and take something(s) with big "+" spreads like, say Nevada +22. Somehow, I gotta just trust this monster (SS) though.

Ga. Tech -7.5: pretty strong play sez the SHEET.

Mich -7.5: Not for me only cause I am sooo UNfamiliar with Indiana and got them pegged as a team you just cannot trust to win or lose.

Notre Dame -3: This one got the 7th highest rating; wish it was better than that. I'm on the fence with this one (NOT thinking about taking USC, just questioning N.D.). I watched two USC games and wasn't impressed at all, but most recently, they've picked it up a bit. Figuring out all these "puzzles" ain't EZ.

Nevada +22: Despite some changes made on both teams - just
a look at the ATS history between these two make this pick look sooo EZ. IMO, Nevada is about just as good as they've been last season or two and Boise is clearly lesser this year.

Fla. St. -3: Oh Yeeeah!

Arizona -4: Luv the no. (remember? ... "4" is an excellent "spreader"). I've always liked the angle about fading a team that's been OVERachieving (surprise wiener) in it's last game or two games. The Utes hitting the road further adds to this play. Since the SHEET doesn't know about those things makes this play VERY inviting. Only downsiide asfaras I'm concerned is that I haven't had luck with this team in the past. Funny thing - the further west them teams are -> the worser I do with them. Hmmm, come to think about it... same with them hosses. BTW, visit my hoss wacin thread sometime .. hit a nice $552 exacta in the last race I played (Sat) at Philly which happens to be the only wace twack I play and no spreadsheet needed with them hosses.
I've nailed some REALLY nice prices at that place.

I select the "arrow" thingy with the intention of marking this thing with an arrow so I don't have to use a shovel to find it again whenever I get back here... and what does the dang thang do? SHEEET, it puts the word "ARROW" as the first word in my title. WTF? (LOL)

Hmmm... come to think about it, it ain't such a good thing when ya can remember the name of EVERYbody who's visited ya. :mj07:

I mentioned in last week's post that I'd post my OWN pick for this week cause I've been doing well with it so far this season. I usually make only one or two picks that I DO PLAY on my own each week. This week it was only one pick and I forgot to write it. AND, sure enough that game got played already ... SHEEEEET!

Oh well, I used it in a parlay and I think the parlays that I posted here all won so far (ALL 2 of them ? LOL). Maybe the trend will continue and just maybe posting them is bringing me some luck... so here's this week's parlays (not gonna keep a record of these misc. things; I'm just gonna record each week's SHEET plays here no matter what else I comment on or post here).

I shaved a half pt. off the Arizona spread cause I always take the pick off those key nos. for parlays. Did the same with Ga. Tech. I really liked what saw re. Central's defensive record and liked the idea of a fresh (first half) CFU defensive line out there vs. a Louisville team that's been deteriorating in their recent game(s). Also, I think it's usually a good idea to go "first half, favorite scores UNDER" when you think the underdog has a shot and the underdog has a time of possession edge and a good ground game cause that makes the clock move faster, so to speak.

IF I decide to go with a hammer this week, I agree with your thoughts on the Nevada game. We sho don't agree re. Fla. St. though. Whatever the case, it should be a great game to watch for sure.

Seriously, I found the problem -> I had that USC/ND game entered 2x on the list. I found a typo in the first time it spit out the pick and I fixed it and it re-ran it. BUT, I forgot to DELETE the first mistaken one so it was listed 2x. Both picks are for Notre Dame; the corrected pick has N.D. by the slimmest of margin's. . Wish it liked the Irish by more, but it's a NO PLAY for the SHEET and now for me as well. That means it's a 6 pack for today. Thanks for the heads up.

Lunch Pail, I'm with you on that Fla. St. pick; I like that one A LOT. Went a little overboard on that Nevada pick cause those 22 points make that play LOOK more like a present than a gamble. Nice to know you checked the SHEET out. I'll root a little harder for ya on that FSU game. BTW, rest assured, I ain't gonna forget your name. Think I'll throw some more bacon and eggs in the frying pan.

I play two sports these days, college football dudes, and Philadelphia Park dirt bombs (racetwack). It's the WACE TRACK that stuffing me these days... now hitting MULTIPLE trifectasi in one day instead of just one, OnLY play Philly. Funny thing is that I'm not usually a trifecta bettor. Starting to change my bet type habits FOSHO!!

The SHEET picks hit the tires to the road (something like that) alright, ESP with that Ga. Tech. massacre. FSU, ZONA, NEVADA up next. Based on my experience - the hosses are sending my bankaroo to the MOON these days, but this won't last. The SHEET?... just might last, L.P., maybe some prime rihs and lobster for lunch soon?

Hope so.

I wish I could add a football pick here, but I don't bet for fun and surely don't recommend/post plays that I'm kinda unsure of.. and DON'T betem either.

Hah, all I gotta do is start betting like the BIG BOYS and just watch this thing go into a tailspin. Same thing happens with them hosses.

Not gonna list the picks again cause they all covered. Just gonna mention a couple of things that may interest some of the MJ Members -


New angle/system?
Since I started posting the sheet picks, week 5, I noticed something that just might even beat this monster's performance. Now I'm not referring to any one poster or even just THIS week but EVERY week since the 5th I'm noticing that posters who post a play with sorta a 100% certainty of winning ... . . er, well, the dang thang LOSES! You know like "play of the year (etc.) ABSOLUTE WINNAH, GUARANTEED "PLICK", "EZ" money, "sho thing", stuff like that. :nono: I never tailed one of them, but I am gonna start going on a bit of a lookout for them to fade. Check it out.

Giambi, thanks for bumping this up a couple of times. Maybe 3 new faces in 700+ views is par for the course (?) but I gotta believe that SOME players musta done something with the "plicks" and they just fly out the door before it even closes when they came in. I'm really not interested or even have the time to post for those types. How bout a little help by typing a couple of letters so that I can find this thing when I look for it the 2nd, 3rd third time I look for it to add something? . I reply to every member who stops in here mostly just to let them know I read what they had to say even if they had very little to "say" ) and I always leave a message or a little something when I visit any poster's thread. Actually, I do almost no browsing through the posts cause I don't have the time.

Sooo.. I'm "pretty sure" I'll give it a go next week, but if it's too much for the visitors to share something (GOOD or BAD, I don't care) even if it goes 0-10, at least let me know that you're interested; adding "1" to the View column means nothing to me. . In fact, I'd be very happy if I got 10 Views and 5 replies. Not interested at all in Views; very interested in what experienced players are doing and any comments they may have concerning a SHEET pick or any game for that matter. If not, I am CERTAIN that I'll use the time to feed the monster more data instead of posting till the end of the regular season.

BTW, if I decide to take a long break from posting... I WILL post during BOWL week for the sake of folks that did stop in here during the past few weeks and, hopefully, show off what it can do for the Bowl games ... and bankaroo. With the exception of 2 of the past 6 years - the sheet's record has been phenomenal (how's that for a 50 cent word? ) during BOWL weeks and I will share that and hope it can do it again. It should after having a full season of data "in it's belly".

Giambi-Juice, there isn't a spreadsheet made that can match the one in my head asfaras as hoss wacin goes. I've played horses for a LONG, LONG time and graduated from the school of hard knox with that sport a long time ago. I'm a small bettor and still made my nice football profits yesterday look like peanuts compared to the TWO trifectas I hit at Philly Park this past Tuesday. (just about 4 figures on ONE stinkin dollar bets on two separate trifectas). I ONLY PLAY ONE TRACK, Philly and only bet on playable races which normally means 3 or 4 races per day. I play Philly every day of the week they're open. Focusing on one track and learning EVERYTHING there is to know about the connections (jocks, owners, trainers, and, of course, the horses that run there) is definitely the way to go with horse racing if making money is your priority. And it takes quite awhile to accomplish that too. It's not as much fun as playing for enjoyment .. well, until you look at your bank account that is. If it's enjoying a day at the track that may be costly, but highly enjoyable with a shot to hit it BIG, then play the Breeders Cup.

Here's the best advice I can give you....
The Breeders Cup is coming up either next week, the week after, or first week of Nov. I haven't played it for a couple of years. IMO, those races are absolutely impossible to handicap and I've lost plenty trying to figure out those races in the past. Just about every one of the Breeders Cup races is a race between clones with jockeys, trainers from all over the place, virtually impossible to separate.

DON'T let me steer you away from playing the Breeders Cup races though cause those races are probably the most exciting, EXHILARATING (man, how the hell did I come up with that one?) action in sports betting. The prices will be HUGE, especially the exactas and trifectas. The problem is that you raise your chances of catching one of them big lunkers from ALMOST NONE to SLIM by betting many combinations of nos. and that will cost ya. One of the greatest ass burners I've ever experienced at the track was the day I hit a trifecta at a Breeders Cup race with a 22 to 1 shot on top of two bigger longshots; trifecta woullda paid over 5 figures. You cannot believe how excited I was UNTIL the "Inquiry" light start flashing and the bastages took down the wiener. FLUCK!!!

Either bet as lightly as you can (across the board bets may be best) and hope to cash in on a few and enjoy the races or take a BIG risk by playing MANY combinations on nos. in exactas or trifectas (MINIMUM size tickets) and IF you hit a big one.. head for the extit IMMEDIATELY if not sooner. My experience with Breeders Cups races, for me, is -> the more you study the race in detail - the less your chances are of cashing in. REALLY.. LUCK is by far the overriding factor by far for those races.

It picked mucho favorites this past week which is just fine. Let's see how it does if it picks a few or more underdogs in the upcoming weeks. So far, pretty good.
It's record when picking DOGS to cover has always been pretty good but taking a chance by playing it's DOG picks TO WIN OUTRIGHT (M.L.) has been better if you play the dog MONEY LINE for every one of it's DOG picks. It's risky though, cause the percentage of winning DOGS is NOT as good as it's percentage of covering favorites and losing streaks are longer between winning DOG picks with Money Line plays. Kinda confusing I guess. Basically, you'll need to win with some double digit spread DOGS during the season to out do just playing a regular line bet. So far for previous seasons, it came up with enough double digit dog outright GAME WIENERS for the folks who want to take the extra risks. ALL of it's picks are supposed to be for ATS covers though, it just happens that usually enough of them win outright.

Hammy, IF you see this, do you want me to post horses on Mon. or Tues for this week? No need to reply here or the Horse Palace, the default is "Lucky Tue$". But, if you're gonna be around and are really interested in Mon. just let me know.

One correction I gotta make about winning 4 figure on Sat.... . the $2 dollar payoffs on the two tries I hit came to almost exactly on $1000. BUT, I bet one stinkin dollar trifectas. Still, clearing $500 smackers still makes my beautiful football result for tihis week are peanuts compared to $500 even if Denver wins tonight.
