it was a good movie, but it wasn't great. I enjoyed it of course, but i was disappointed. too many made up characters and timeline gaps. the special effects were outstanding though; they just needed a better plot and story to go along with them.

I'll see it soon enough. I at least have faith it's better then the last 3 although Revenge of the Sith had it's moments. At least from the interviews it seems Daisy Ridley has more charisma then Natalie Portman ever had. I guess how one perceives it might be how one saw his Star Trek remakes. I thought very highly of the first one in 2009 and liked the second one until the last half hour.

I agree with this. It was a good film, but it wasn't great. You could also tell it was a Disney film, it was lacking a certain dark aspect if that makes sense.

Also, there were way too many attempts at humor I felt. It isn't a comedy.

plenty of bad reviews too. it was a good film, not great though. still worth seeing.
