On the course!
You have never eaten any type of crab ever?

What about Lobster?

Or do you just hate shellfish?
Sure I have, but for the purpose of this thread, I simply don't have access to crab.

If I was somewhere that had both available all of the time, steak would win out.

he was specific.

No he wasn't.......he posted pictures of a steak and a crab(s). No mention of a specific steak or a specific crab in the title or any of the pictures he posted.

And remember the title of thread just said "Steak or Crabs", it did not say "Tomahawk Steak" or "Blue Crabs".

There was nothing specific detailing what kind of steak or what kind of crab.

Just like if there is a thread saying you like "cats or dogs", and then in that thread you posted a picture of a Siamese Cat and a Labrador Retriever. That doesn't mean you would only be referring to a Siamese Cat and a Labrador Retriever, you'd be referring to all dogs and all cats.

So again.....you are wrong......and yes....Alaskan King Crab still rules :smilies1

OS was very clear in his message.

"A picture is worth a thousand words" is an adage meaning complex ideas, emotions, or stories can be conveyed more effectively and instantly by a single still image than by a verbal description. It highlights that visual information is processed faster than text, often prompting quicker understanding or action.

If the Title of the thread read "Tomahawk Steak" or "Blue Crabs" OR above/below the two pictures read "this steak" and "these crabs" or something similar then you would have a valid argument, but that didn't happen so the above is invalid.

Go back to my "dog and cats" example if you'd like further verification.

There is not one person reading this thread that thought OS was only referring to Tomahawk Steaks, they were thinking ALL Steaks.

I’ll assume You can get flash frozen crabs in fondy, just as I can get them here in the cornfields of Iowa. But they aren’t fresh, so I might eat crab once a year— if that.
Had some crab at Xmas time as my daughter requested some, but I can’t recall the last time I ate crab.

I'm sure some varieties are available frozen. Im just not interested. Look at your corn. Are you eating it straight from the fields, or out of a Del Monte can? I have friends who live on the lakes around here and bring perch in to fry up constantly. That's what is locally resourced, and plentiful. Old School isn't getting King crab from the Bering Sea, he's getting what is local. (Pay attention, Kyle)

I love fish (except for Salmon) and seafood, but never go out of my way for it. I will drop a steak on the grill anytime I can!

Well I fucking hope not...........that is super dangerous, plus it is the off season and he'd be going to prison if he did that, so yeah, I am glad he ain't in the Bering Sea

What is wrong with salmon?

If you like to eat fish.......everybody likes salmon. Never heard of somebody liking fish, but not salmon, that is odd.

Plus salmon is really good for ya....well besides all the pieces of plastic of course.
