is Big Ben really that good? the steelers bring in a guy off the street and he looks pretty amazing. can we please call big ben a man of a system not a king of the gridiron?
:sadwave:
Big Ben wins it...
ok i understand that Big Ben is better than Dixon but still the steelers had a chance without their so called amazing QB
I must be living in the closet..........when is it that you heard Ben called "amazing" ???? :SIB
:mj07:
this goes back to a discussion earlier in the year. I said Big Ben was a "winner," He finds ways to win and although his stats don't justify him being in the Brady or Manning classification, the fact is, he wins big games when they count.
Hopefully week 16 everyone will be at full strength.
name the last time big ben came back from down 17 in the 4th?
never
i'm so sick of this argument. Livin'tillthEnd & Play2Win, you nailed it. in this world where fantasy football is king, people have a skewed view of what it takes to win football games. pure and simple, anybody who doesn't consider ben roethlisberger an 'elite' quarterback, doesn't know jack shit about football. the man is a winner. name one elite receiver he's had to work with? or even an elite running back to take pressure off the passing game? jerome bettis at the end of his career? please. his offensive line has been awful the last few years, he's had an old jerome bettis and willie parker in the backfield, and hines ward as his top receiver. but time after time, he has won football games.
dennis dixon looked "pretty amazing" last night? what game were you watching? an old oregon highlight reel?
oh, and most good teams/quarterbacks don't find themselves down 17 in the fourth quarter.
and no, this isn't a personal attack on anybody, so don't get all bent out of shape. just because you don't understand football doesn't make you a bad person.
