regardless of our political views we're still friends around here or would be if you actually met your cyber friend in person.

the direct personal attacks serve no purpose at all and it's ugly.

please, do me a favor and follow my request because eventually it will move into the handicapping forums and we can't have that.

otherwise, i'll have no choice but to shut this down and i know a lot of you guys enjoy the forum for some of the discussions.

TIA

It was hard for me to not get into that thread.

Not sure if you're saying you didn't go into the thread or if youre saying you went into and wished well as it was hard to do so, either way every member on this site should of atleast checked into the thread and wished him well, it's onething to disagree do to sports or political outlook one has but when it comes to family and loved ones there's no black or white line only a grey line everyone should be one the same side!!

I kind of disagree. There are some folks here who I am completely neutral about their well-being. I honestly don't care what happens to many people here. No reason to fake it and "wish people well" and stuff when I don't mean it.

Suppose one of us happened to know or be related to that Kansas doctor that Mr. Hedgehog was pleased was murdered....You think we would put on an a fake smile and congratulate him on his baby. Frankly, I really don't give a shit.

Sorry. I don't agree with you. Would you wish Hitler good luck with his new child?

Jack got-a do what you need to. I believe Most old timers here agree. I would say before closing it down try droping the real over top folks. Most of the name calling is just not needed. I know it,s hard for some not to fire back. But they just need to count to ten before ripping away. Some times I wonder if there 15 years old.

I think the personal attacks are what make the forum so interesting. What I don't like is the name-calling, racism, and gay-bashing.

I don't care for most of Weasels takes, but the guy makes for interesting conversation (at times). That's more than I can say for many others.

case in point...gmro and myself disagree on basically every aspect of our personal political/religious philosophy...

we`ve had some dillies...yet we check it at the door when we go into the off the wall forum and kick mma picks and converstaion around....gmro has been an excellent addition in that forum... .i am absolutely sure having a beer with him would be very enjoyable for me(and hopefully for him)...lol....

same thing with wocky,kosar,djv,chad...and even jer z jock has begun to find my g spot of late(god help me)...

why can`t folks just check at the door?...even with the zingers,it ain`t personal...never has been...

i have trouble hating guys in here that i disagree with(with one exception) because i inevitably read something from them here or in another forum that makes me laugh...or reminds me that we share some common ground...yeah we disagree...but by it`s very nature, this forum...every political forum, is volatile...

i`m cool if jack wants to shut it down...if you get a little tight assed, just stay away for awhile...

but,if jack did shut it down...given the political climate in the country..the world....theres no way that these issues wouldn`t bleed into "general"...and ruin it.....

at least jack can keep the crazy confined in one forum...something gets loose in general or some other forum, jack can move it here...

take your licks in here and check it at the door...

for jack`s sake...he doesn`t need all the grief in his handicapping forums..i think we all understand that...

Why not just put the forum near the bottom? That seemed to be effective a while back.
