adding:

2* Dal +4 (-107)

Mr Campo as a Dallas head coach is 7 of 10 covering ATS as a home dog

I smell a trap, so when everybody is on one side, I will go the other way

and

The Series record is 5-5,counting the days when they were the Oilers, with the Titans winning 31-0 in Tenn. in the last meeting and in 97 they won 27-14 in Dallas.

Emmitt's numbers vs them:

4 games 61 attempts 181 yards 3.0 YPC 45.3 YPG 1 TD

Last year they were 8th in the league-12th rushing 8th passing.Defensively they were 25th-5 rushing and 31st vs the pass.

Swinton is expected to play, along with Garmon.Gibson got hurt in practice and likely won't play.Darnay Scott will play as well.Kearse is out for them, but his replacement,Carlos Hall, had 3 sacks last week vs the Eagles.Randal Godfrey,an ex Cowboy,is listed as questionable.

This is a huge character game for Dallas after last week's performance. If the team goes into the game flat, you might as well write off the season.Even if they don't win, showing a whole lot more fight than they did will be an improvement. If not, there will be more QB controversey speculations by the media,as well as the Jerry doesn't know what he's doing stuff.

Eddie George is coming off his worse season last year.He appeared to be healthy last week, but had a little over 2 yards a carry, despite scoring twice.McNair had around 270 yards passing, but remeember Troy Vincent wasn't in the lineup.Wycheck is among the better receiving TE's in the league. They signed Greg Comella, formerly with the Giants,to play FB for them.

A key matchup will be their WR's vs the Dallas secondary.Derrick Mason is their best WR as well as a top returner,so hopefully Edwards will match up with him.Kevin Dyson, the answer to which WR was drafted ahead of Randy Moss, hasn't done much,so whether Westbrook or Hawthorne covers him he's unlikely to be a deep threat.

The Titans have a strong line, despite losing Bruce Matthews to retirement. The Dallas d-line played great last week,so this is a test to see if they are that good.

Offensively,Dallas can't afford another stinker game from Carter. He should be more relaxed playing at home, but needs to show enough to not have 8 or 9 man fronts all year. The line hopefully will be pissed off about their game last week and take it out on the Titans. They have Rolle, one of the better CB's,and signed Lance Schulters from SF,although he's better against the run than the pass.Coslet needs to show a better ability to adjust during the game instead of the run on 1st down, run on 2nd,and pass on 3rd,as well as go downfield some.

DENV-SF

These teams are very evenly matched. But I have to say that there was not a soul in the Denver secondary who could cover Owens in the preseason and he was open every single play... If I'm a Denver fan I am definately very worried about this.

The linebacking corps on both of these teams are highly comparable. Same goes for the d-lines. I think the Niners secondary matches up better than Denvers against their WRs though.. McCaffery is a good matchup for Rumph (although he will probably receive some help from Bronson), Smith solid for Plummer. Sharpe will be played by one of the LBs (Peterson/Winborn) or Parrish. Lelie will be tougher to cover... hard to say who they will put on him when he's on the field. Might end up playing him pretty soft and try to force Lelie to make the mistakes on his own to avoid the big play. Lelie could burn SF though. We'll see if Griese can get him the ball though. No one in the Denver secondary can match up very well with Owens and that is a definate problem.

The Niners and Broncos have similarly talented o-lines although I think the niners maybe have a slight edge (remember this is the same o-line that allowed the niners to run the ball effectively even when they were rebuilding and thier passing game stunk and they started 3rd stringers at QB). I think Barlow might be huge this game. I think he is way more talented than you Denver fans realize and I don't think there is any LB corp in the league that can effectively contain him. Hearst is a punishing runner with great power and speed and I think that he will be able to move the pile effectively as the Denver front 7 is a tad on the small side (especially when compared to SanFrans quite large o-line..). No one can contain gold on the niners? Let's not forget that Beasley is the best blocking fullback in the league... against the Giants he was taking on multiple targets in single plays with great success... If there is any team in the league that can move the ball on what I personally feel to be a quite underrated Denver defense (which could possibly end up being top 5 and it would not be a shocker... Rhodes is a great coordinator) it's the 49'ers. Especially at home. Btw Barlow is like greased lightning on the field... he just floats and dodges and bursts through the smallest seems... and then when he actually takes a hit he more often than not breaks the tackle... While Portis is similarly explosive, he might have trouble holding on to the ball as the niners have some explosive tacklers on their team with size.... Like I said this is a good matchup, but I feel the niners win on QB play in the end. 27-21 for Sanfran...

I typically don't like to bet either way on the Cowboys. Usually makes for a crap day. After listening to all of the radio interviews this week though, I have come to the conclusion that Quincy is dumb as dog chit, and he has reconfirmed what I said on draft day 2001, "WTF?????". The Boys could play some great ball today, but the Titans have it really clicking right now. More of a play on them rather than agains Quincy "cut him" Carter, Jerry "don't like the meat but he sure likes the bone" Jones, Dave "gonna be jobless soon" Campo, and the kicker Billy "Cuntsniff" Cundiff.

SD - HOU

Drew will show a lot more poise and composure than that idiot playing for the C'Boys, he let his team down last Sunday and he should've been benched in the 2nd half, LT will be banking on his line being dominant again, and the Texans right side looks like a good place to start the attack, Defense should rattle this Texans O line who i hope willnot have Bosseli back, but they should be able to tear this O- line to pieces, if SD secondary can give them time of course.

Game Notes: Courtesy of NFL.com

Cardinals
WR DAVID BOSTON had 15th career 100-yard receiving game last week vs. Redskins (138 yards, 7 receptions, 1 TD) ? QB JAKE PLUMMER had 7-yard TD run last week, his first rushing TD since 12/5/99 (vs. Philadelphia, 21-17 win) ? G PETE KENDALL played in 76 games (75 starts) with Seattle from 1996-2000 ? Offensive line did not surrender sack vs. Redskins last week and has given up only 3 sacks in past 4 games ? TE FREDDIE JONES made first start for Cards last week. Has 29 receptions, 349 receiving yards in past 6 vs. Seattle ? K BILL GRAMATICA connected on 3-of-4 FGs in first game since 12/15/01 ? Offensive coordinator RICH OLSON coached with Seahawks (1995-98) and played QB and S at Washington State (1968-69) ? LB RONALD MC KINNON led club with 10 tackles (3 solo) vs. Washington

Seahawks
Head coach MIKE HOLMGREN needs 1 win to reach 100 career victories. Holmgren (QB, USC) was drafted by Cardinals in 8th round of 1970 NFL Draft ? RBs coach STUMP MITCHELL played for Cardinals from 1981-89, ranking second in club history with 4,649 career rushing yards ? QB MATT HASSELBECK completed 23 of 32 attempts for 155 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INT for 103.0 passer rating vs. Raiders ? CB SHAWN SPRINGS had 56-yard INT-TD and CB WILLIE WILLIAMS had 28-yard INT TD in last game vs. Cardinals ? WR BOBBY ENGRAM has career-long 79-yard reception (TD) vs. Cardinals, (10/11/98, with Bears) ? RB MACK STRONG had 4-yard TD reception in last game ? DT JOHN RANDLE ranks second among active players with 125.0 career sacks ? LB ISAIAH KACYVENSKI made first career start vs. Raiders and had career-high 17 tackles ? P JEFF FEAGLES spent 1994-97 with Arizona.

This is obvious, but if ARZ can stop Shaun Alexander from running up yardage, and more importantly possession time, the Cards should take this game. I'm not impressed with Dilfer even if he does win a lot of the games. I think the running game (Jones) will have a better day, and MarTay Jenkins will have a huge day, not Boston.

Hence my play on ARZ +3.5

JAX- KC

The KC OL holds like crazy. I hope there is officiating crew that looks for that as one of their pet peaves. Last game they got away with probably 2 dozen of them during the game. I actually beleive that Vermeil coaches it that way, knowing that the one's that get called don't impact the game as much as the one's that do. Watch replays when you get a chance and focus in on the play on the LOS.....I guarentee you that you will be able to pinpoint at least 1 holding on almost every single snap of the football when their offense is on the field.

NYG-ST L

Personally, I think it's very unfair for the NFL to put the Giants in St. Louis 3 years in a row. Why don't the Rams come to Giants' stadium for a change?

The Rams at home are almost almost unstoppable, since the dome plays right into their hands.

The only thing that leads me to believe that the Giants have a shot, is the fact that one team DID stop them at home last year, and it was this very Giants' team.

Mike Strahan had 4 sacks, the linebackers held Faulk in check, and the corners did a a great job on Hakim, Bruce and co., but a last second drop/INT by Jurevicous/Collins proved costly...

This year, I see the Giants getting blown out. The Rams came off a big loss to Denver, and they'll come at us full throttle. John Fox was a big reason why the Giants were so competitive last season, but he's gone now, and so are out chances in this game.

But hopefully I am looking for a backdoor cover

NYG +12.5
