If you think back about Big Ben and what he did in the last two Super Bowls he played in...
He threw only 1 TD pass. I dont think we will see Big Ben win any MVP awards in this game as he seems to cramp up in Super Bowl games :scared
This year Green Bay has managed to keep opposing quarterback to only a 62 passer rating, best in the league.
Green Bay held opponents to only 15 points a game this season, as opposed to letting up over 18.6 last season.
Green Bay lost 6 games in the regular season, but they sent 15 people on injured reserve during the course of the season.
Green Bay has won three road playoff games to reach to Super Bowl. :00hour
The Pittsburgh Steelers barely survived the playoffs while playing at home.
Pittsburgh got torched by Tom Brady and New England , but the Packers nearly defeated them without Aaron Rodgers who was out with a concussion.
Speaking of injurys , I believe that the Steelers
without center Maurkice Pouncey will struggle.
Not only with the flow of the handoffs, but with his blocking up front. Green Bay is going to be jumping over the center to pull down Big Ben.
Big Ben is going to have a big issue when he is forced out of the pocket by the Green Bay defense and he rolls to the right like he always does.
When he does that in this game The Beast
(DPOY winner) will be lurking, and he will have no problems bringing Roths down. This isn't a CB blitz trying to tackle 6'6 Big Ben, it's the 252 pound Beast. Good luck rolling to the right Ben...
The only real chance the Steelers have is running the ball with Mendenhal.
The Packers will have something in store for Mendenhal just like they did for Michael Turner.
You see, Rashard is a run first running back (much like Turner)...he is quite good at it, but he isn't the pass catching RB problem for Green Bay like Matt Forte was.
If the Packers can get a lead, Pittisburgh will get away from the run. When that happens, the Packers speed will disrupt him, and the Packer defense will have some chances to make some big plays, with sacks and interception's.
Pittsburgh played a home game against the most offensively challenged team in the playoffs and almost gave up their lead in the final moments.
I agree that the Steelers have a nice team, but they haven't been challenged by a Green Bay
team with this much balance. Green Bay
has #5 defense and #9 offense in the NFL on the season and these numbers improved in the playoffs so far.
So when it comes down to it, Green Bay is better on both sides of the ball. Their offense is much better, and their defense is slightly better. Green Bay has the stronger secondary with Williams, Collins, Woodson, and Shields...and has shown in the playoffs that they can shutdown explosive running offensives (Vick, Turner)
Should be a great Super Bowl.
GO GREEN BAY !
