If you think back about Big Ben and what he did in the last two Super Bowls he played in...

He threw only 1 TD pass. I dont think we will see Big Ben win any MVP awards in this game as he seems to cramp up in Super Bowl games :scared

You know I respect your opinion KOD.....but this I dont agree with....all I have seen out of Big Ben in playoff games/Superbowls is WIN!!!

Cant agree with that logic

Hines Ward, Steelers visit local strip club

It didn't take long for the Pittsburgh Steelers to sample some of the adult entertainment Dallas has to offer.

Late Monday night, hours after they arrived here, Hines Ward, Ike Taylor and several other members of the Pittsburgh Steelers visited Dallas Gentlemen's Club on Northwest Highway in Dallas.

A number of other pro athletes were there as well.

When Ward and his teammates entered the club, dancers converged on them. They spent a few minutes in the VIP area at the back of the club. But as the music pumped and the women strode across the four stages, the Steelers huddled in the front corner of the club for closer looks.

Ward, wearing a plaid shirt and jeans, danced with a couple of strippers. At one point, he tossed out dollars while receiving lap dances. Other Steelers joined him.

At one point, near midnight, the Steelers, including huge linemen, appeared on the main stage., There they posed and danced with an assortment of strippers. It was "Make It Rain Monday" at the club. And some of the players made it rain with their dollar bills.

One large man wearing a green outfit with an Oakland As cap drank Moet out of the bottle.

I asked him was he wearing Packer green?

"I'm wearing money green," he said.
............................................................

I know this dont mean two chits to some of you guys , but it says alot to me about the mentality
of the Steelers going into this game.

I just read yesterday where the Green Bay Packers were not going into Dallas to party , they were going in to study , prepare, and focus on what had to be done come Sunday evening coming down.

I can almost guarantee you that we will not see any reports of the Green Bay players doing this .

If I was the coach of the Steelers I would have made sure that the players were not seen in a strip club dancing on the stage and making it rain money.

wtf are they thinking.

When the Falcons went to the Super Bowl years ago they had a cornerback that was in the party game. He ended up being arrested with a hooker and it was a huge distraction and embarressment for Atlanta at that time.

The Steelers can party 51 other weeks if they choose.

So they have been to the Super Bowl before and they know what its all about. They dont need no extra time getting ready.

In the meantime. The Green Bay Packers are watching film, lifting, getting coached up, and counting the minutes for the Big Game to start.

And speaking of Aaron Rodgers. Some can say yeh well Rodgers dont know what he is in for with all the pressure of the Super Bowl stage.

I can tell you one thing, Rodgers wasnt a bit bothered by the Falcons 80 K screaming fans and stadium with the playoff pressure to win or be eliminated.

The guy is money.

But not the kind that the Steelers are throwing at the strippers this week in Dallas.

GO GREEN BAY !

I hate it when its this easy .

I smell money and it smells green !

Just a few tidbits....

The packer game plan was already implemented before the plane hit the tarmac.

Pouncy will play...

The biggest issue GB has is they are next to last in Yards allowed per rush attempt... Ben might not even need a big game...

I am glad the Packers have their game plan ready.
Meanwhile the Steelers are in the VIP rooms getting their power drained from their legs.

Pouncy may play, but one Packers stomp on that leg and he is out again. Then here comes the fill in center again to fumble and stumble in the end zone.

The Steelers secondary is where this game will be won. Rodgers to exploit them with his passing game. Use Starks to keep them honest.

The Steelers offense with Ben Roethlisberger is designed around playing with a lead. Pittsburgh in this game will be leaning on its defense too much during the course of the game.

Get the Steelers playing catch up early and Big Ben will have to pass. When that happens

turn off the lights, the partys over....

think its more of a good thing than a bad thing that players are out partying and relaxing than studying, being a shut-in and counting down the hours....the latter exercise causes nerves and players need to take their mind off the game and blow off some steam...JMO

no one is saying the Green Bay team is milk drinkers

The Green Bay team is saving their drinking and partying for after the Super Bowl.

Seems logical to me.

NOTES - In my head

The Steelers secondary is mediocre at best besides Troy P. They will have a hard time stopping Aaron Rodgers in a dome. Look at what the Pats and Saints did to them
.
Aaron Rodgers is going to have a big day in the passing game and Big Bben is going to struggle.

The weakness in the Pittsburgh defense is protecting against the pass. The Green Bay
wide receivers are some of the best in the NFL
and Pittsburgh is not going to have the corner
play to stop this passing attack.

Rodgers plays well against the blitz with his quick release and will hit the open man when he needs to just like Brady did.

Mendenhall can have a a successful game running the ball , but that doesn't mean Pittsburgh will score touchdowns. Pack is tough in the red zone.
Mendenhal gets fumble fingers and watch out.

Pittsburgh will have a hard time in this game if they go down two touchdowns.

Green Bay will be a much better come back team if put in this position.

The Steelers Defense has a tough time with teams that can spread them out, like New Orleans and New England.

If they are hoping Green Bay will not play spread formations they are in for a surprise.

GREEN BAY !

Just days before Pittsburgh meets the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV, the Steelers' quarterback was caught boozing it up and belting out karaoke tunes at a bar in Fort Worth, Texas.

TMZ released footage of an off-key Roethlisberger singing along to Billy Joel's "Piano Man," one of the many songs that played in the background during his late-night bender.

Witnesses who were at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar on Tuesday night said Roethlisberger arrived with a pair of "massive" Steelers teammates and ran up an $800 tab - and left a $200 tip for the staff.

From 11 that night until 1:15 the next morning, the two-time Super Bowl champ reportedly pounded rum and Diet Cokes and invited the entire bar to join him for several rounds.

...............................................................

fawk me

hard to believe that he would be reported doing this before the Super Bowl

Meanwhile .............Still not one report of a Green Bay player in a bar with strippers, drinking and singing, etc etc

GO GREEN BAY !

I don't know how much stock I'd put into 2 hours at a bar. You can take this story and that story to make your case and yourself feel better about one side or the other. I doubt that only Pit. players have been out on the town. Even so devils advocate can read below and feel better about the steel curtain

From profootballtalk:
Peter King of Sports Illustrated is the pool reporter for Super Bowl XLV, giving him sole access to Steelers practices. King files a routine pool report after each practice, and posted more nuggets on Twitter after watching the AFC?s Super Bowl representative get after it Thursday.

According to King, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was ?scalding hot? and ?looked terrific? in Thursday?s drills. Specifically, Big Ben threw four straight touchdown passes in the red zone.

As suspected, coach Mike Tomlin is right in that he has nothing to worry about after Roethlisberger?s night on the town.

King also was impressed with backup center Doug Legursky?s ?pulling ability and hustle.? Legursky is a former undrafted free agent, so hustle should come naturally. The ability to move quickly out of a center?s stance could be another plus. Legursky played tackle in college.

what happened to Pouncy playing on his fractured leg/foot :scared

Lets think about this

You replace a #1 draft pick center who made the pro bowl as a rookie in Pouncey

and you get a undrafted free agent who was signed off the practise squad for the minimum

And you line him up to play in the most important game of the year . And in the Super Bowl game Lugs will touch the ball more than any other player on the Steelers team. :scared

OH SHIT THIS GAME IS IN THE BAG !

I am telling you that this is not a good idea
with all the chit he has put the team and the fans in Pitt through. Did you forget he didnt play the first four games this season ? And why was that ?

He was at a bar singing kareoke , getting drunk , and raping college girls.

Oh yeh forgot about that one

you think it means nothing

I think it plays right into the hands of the emotions and pysch of this game.

Its probably a little over your head to understand and I dont feel like explaining it.

what a joke of a suggestion.

He was playing with a yellow shirt on and no one was allowed to touch Big Ben.

And he was playing against the starting Steelers
cornerbacks

Dougie Lugs

Before giving the experience edge to Pittsburgh, however, consider this: If rookie center Maurkice Pouncey's injured ankle prevents him from playing, backup Doug Legursky will be making his first NFL start at center.

Legursky only has four NFL starts and those came at guard. Two came during quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's four-game suspension at the start of this season. So Legursky and Roethlisberger have only been in two NFL starting lineups together, and Roethlisberger was taking his snaps from Pouncey during those games, not Legursky.

Bring thrust into such a stressful situation might be intimidating for most people, but Legursky wears a bit of perspective around his neck. "A friend of mine is in his third tour of duty in Afghanistan," he said, while holding up a bullet he wears on a chain around his neck. "he's in special forces, and he sent this back to me during his first tour. That was a few years ago. I've worn it ever since."
...............................................................

Lugs - the bullet was to shoot a cow for dinner.

He didnt think you would wear it for two years

Set ........ready ............ hike one ......hike two

Dammit Lugs ............ hike the fawking ball

The torture of chalk play dust collects on my tongue.

Thoughts of the Super Bowl dance in the sun.

All of my doubts come slowly undone.

Can?t wait for this game.

I want to win while I?m young.

"Pouncy will play" if he does it will be a medical miracle. That injury takes 6-8 weeks to recover. If he plays it would be hurting the team. I would lay 500 to 1 he does not play.
