Why couldnt it have been Dicky C instead? Would that really have been too much to ask?

Sec i just saw Cheney coming out of his doctors office with a clean bill of health. Thought it was kinda strange that this came on a little after Snow's annouced death.

He seemed to b a very likeable guy.
Stevie even tho he was the spokeman for the most corrupt administration in our lifetime, he actually did seem like a decent person. He was one of the rare Republicans who would go on Bill Maher show.

Nice Man who took on a tough job for Bush. Did so much better then the clown that came a head of him. And 53 is so young. His Mom died of same thing when he was 16/17 years old. Why they were not watching him closer because of that is a failure. GodBless!

didn't know about it until now, and this time, sponge, I wholeheartedly agree with you. That C word is a nasty, nasty sob!! Maybe one day we'll have a cure.

I've watched cancer eat my old man alive. And as in anything else in this country, money trumps everything. As long as a single chemotherapy visit to Dana Farber costs 40 thousand + every week, there will be no cures. That's the dirty Secret.
That's what the average citizen doesn't get.

My old man kind of Figure this out. his doctor, a famous Dr. at Dana Farber (Dr. OH), told him their goal with cancer is to control it, and make it a chronic disease, like diabetes, not a cause of death
.

this way they can continue charging exuberant amounts of money for chemotherapy on a prolonged basis.

I'm not ready to believe in a conspiracy to keep cancer around, but I've seen plenty of heartache and sad times with people afflicted by it.

kind of off topic, but isn't he the one that called Bush a disgrace?

Went and look it up, it wasn't "a disgrace" the quote was "something of a embarrassment".

in conservative politics, as a commentator he had not always been on the president?s side. He once called Bush ?something of an embarrassment? in conservative circles and criticized what he called Bush?s ?lackluster? domestic policy.

From local journalism to the White House
Most of Snow?s career in journalism involved expressing his conservative views. After earning a bachelor?s degree in philosophy from Davidson College in North Carolina in 1977 and studying economics and philosophy at the

"the bunker"
isn`t it sad that whether we`re respectful of an obviously decent man who is deceased or stricken with terminal illness hinges on whether ideologically he agreed or disagreed with "bush"?...

sometimes i`m overwhelmingly saddened by what i read on this board...

Sorry I disappointed you my friend gw. I'm regretful I posted in this thread that particular observation regarding Tony Snow. Admittedly not the place, just instinctively that's one of the many things I remember about him.

Much like Tim Russet I enjoyed & respected Mr. Snow' s work . Sadly, I think the country again lost one of the few talented ones in that field.

Been out of the news loop since thursday, really, and hadn't seen this until I read it in this thread.

Man.

I had always said (uh, here mostly, but also other places) how skilled he was and what a great representative of this admin he was.

He had a very difficult job and he was classy the whole while.
