Going to take myself off the NE bandwagon. Going to look for a miracle from Buffalo.

Going with Pitt.

EARLY leans for wk 4

EARLY leans for wk 4

I have 3 entries and Here's what I have used so far:

1: SEA PIT BAL
2: SEA CHI PIT
3: PIT JAX NE

Here are my early leans in no particular order:

Dallas (at home), San Diego (at home), Indy (at home), Houston (at Atlanta), Baltimore (at cleveland)

Good Luck to everyone!

Somehow I kept all 5 of my picks. I had New Orleans up until the last minute, then switched to Indy. Also won with Balt (barely), NE (2), Pitt

Went 4-0 with best bets, 1-1 with leans, and 2-1 with 'if I had no choice'

we started with 867 and are down to 413. I can't believe some of the picks this past week... 2 people took the Lions :mj07: ... Why are you taking a 7 point dog this early in the season :nono:

Will be back soon with some early thoughts for week 4

Dallas most likely with St. Louis showing up with a mash unit.

I already played Dallas in week 1, therefore probably going with San Diego.

Best Bests -
Dallas -although I hate playing a team after a winning a national game on the road (see wash this past week). I just can't see them losing this week

SD - 2 tough road games, expect them to play much better at home. Should be easy

Colts - Should continue to roll. They need to keep up with NE, I don't believe they can win a playoff game on the road in the winter, so I expect them to keep the intesity up

Leans -
Houston - they are legit, look for a strong bounce back. hopefully Green is ok

Pitt - same thing as Indy. Pitt really wants home playoff games. They cannot afford to lose to lesser team. What scares me is that they have had 3 blowouts in a row. History shows teams seem to have a letdown after 3 powerful weeks.

Pitt could be the upset of the week

If I had to pick a bad team -
Miami -I think they will mold into a good team, but they are not consistent. They have had 2 decent weeks, is there a letdown because the lost both, or motivation because they have been competative???

Jets - Expected a blowout from them last week and didn't get it. Division games on the road are tough, but Buffalo is BAD. Buffalo has to win some time, but I don't think this is the week.

698 people left in pool. With all the rebuys in weeks 1 and 2 payout is 54k.

Going with SD this week.
Good luck to all.

Considering Dallas, San Diego and Miami

If Miami doesn't win this week, you may not be able to pick them for the rest of the year

Dallas is solid and St. Louis is soft all over, even though Rams is my team. Steven Jack is out

K.C. is piss-poor away from Arrowhead and LJ faces a strong Chargers seven. Damon Huard is a career backup for a reason.

Above the Clouds....
Looking at Miami. Not a strong team but at this point with all the big spreads on SD, NE etc it is getting tougher to get that winner to carry you on to the next week. Sometimes the softer teams at home will carry you.

With that said, I will put you down this week for Cleveland. Ok?

Also going with Dallas this week ... only other serious consideration was San Diego ... kind of a tough week to try and take a weaker team like I did last week with Oakland

Well what can you say after the total carnage that was Week 4 in NFL Suicide Pools ?

I went out for dinner with the family with the Chargers leading close to half-time and next thing I know I am out in 6 pools that I participate this year
I thought St.Loo might put up a fight, being 0-3 so far but it's actually the other team from Missouri that caused all the carnage LOL

I am still alive in 3 other pools so not all is lost and it's all waters under the bridge at this point.

Looking at Week 5, here are the teams that I am circling (you may be looking at the same teams or different ones, depending on what teams you still have at your disposal, in any event, feel free to chime in with your thoughts

Tennessee against Atlanta: Not a divisional matchup so I like it, Harrington and Co. has to play on the grass and against a team fresh off a bye.

Houston against Miami: Not a divisional matchup either, this one will depend on who is available to play for the Texans, although I am leery of the desperate Fins.

Indianapolis against Tampa Bay: Liking these non-divisional matchup, Garcia and the Bucs have shown tremendous upside but the Colts might be too much.

Your thoughts ?

That SD game knocked out half of the entries. I was included in the carnage.

Good luck to those remaining.

I lost 3 of my 5 picks. I lost on SD, Pitt and Miami...

Miami was just a bad choice, I really thought they were in a good spot.

I won with Indy and Dallas. We are down to 250, will look at next week soon

I am looking at Indy this weekend, Tampa lost Cadillac and Petitgout for the season. Good spot to take Indy now, looking at their schedule ahead

Can't trust Tenny as a big fave. Not much else after. I already used NE

Haven't used Indy yet in my three remaining entires. Still have the Pats to use in one of them. Not sure what way I want to go this weekend. Indy looks tempting, though.
