Frank and Nancy Sinatra with Yul Brenner at the Sands Hotel, 1965.[FONT=?Helvetica Neue?] Sinatra was a partner in the Sands until 1967, when it was bought by Howard Hughes. The Hughes management brought with them new rules, including taking away his casino credit and the credit of other big gamblers who had been playing for years. Frank was upset about this and the change of management, started yelling at the bosses, and ended up getting in a fight with Sands manager Carl Cohen, who punched Sinatra in the face, bloodying his nose and knocking out his two front teeth. Sinatra drove a golf cart through the front window of the Sands, and signed with Caesars Palace the next day.
