There is one underlying fact that is undisputable.

Actually DTB, most of your arguments are quite disputable but I have no inclination to spend the next 4-8 years playing point/counterpoint with you and gw. So what I will say is this?
We, the majority, in electing Obama, asked him to do what he?s doing. We may not agree with everything he?s doing but if we wanted to continue the Bush status quo, we would have elected McCain. If that doesn?t sit well with those of you who are now in the minority, it?s not supposed to. You didn?t elect him. We did. You elected Bush - twice. It didn?t sit well with us either but we endured it for 8 years. Unfortunately, we?ll now have to endure the legacy of those 8 years for many years to come.
Only a fool would think that government bailouts of private corporations are a good thing. But there?s not one single person on the face of the planet who knows with any degree of certainty whether the bailouts (from TARP to the auto industry) were ?necessary?. We may never know the answer to that question buy everyone will have their opinions.
