Can't compete with the big boys??...SB a few year ago..I guess they can compete with the big boys....I guess last season decimated with more injuries then anyone can imagine doesn't count but You have an excuse for Ravens and Giants...I get it i get it BP..you hate GB..ur jealous of all the success over the years....ur team had a chance years ago and choked at home to Atlanta..they had a chance at New orleans with Favre and choked again...Ur team blows and in all their existence has NOTHING to show for it bust a load of dust in the SB trophy case..GB has had a lot of success...you're a jealous fool who needs to complete rip apart an organization who s miles ahead of yours. I'm pretty sure many people on here reading this stuff are laughing their ass off at you and your comments.....i think 4 playoffs and a SB is awesome last 4 years...u think it sucks....You do realize it's impossible to win a title every year right?/ maybe u don't since your team has never won any. Cassel and Ponder...LMFAO..thats awesome. Enjoy a season of last place cus it's a stone cold lock by me..mark it down and bank on it. :sadwave:

Yes they won the Super Bowl in 2010 (Exactly who I picked to win it)

They went from winning the Super Bowl to a team who can't beat the upper echelon teams in the NFC. There is NO EMOTION or ill will, it's a fact. Despite having a young team with no cap issues one would expect them to be a formidable playoff team, their only playoff win since then has been against the Vikings. Now if I was to ask you since winning the Super Bowl that would be your claim to fame til now you would of said I'm nuts. There is not emotion about it, it's fact. They have a shit defensive line with mediocre linebackers with below average secondary. I don't use emotion with it, the past 3 years of defensive categories back that up. Their QB has been sacked in the top 5 in that same time span, no emotion, its a fact. The stats back it up and in the past two years name me a team outside the division who was any good the Packers beat outside the Texans, again no emotion its just fact

Trevor cmon man, this whole thread you talked about how the pack suck and the vikes are on the up and up---I wanted to see how serious you were...still confused on the thread now, just to get a rise out of pack fans?

Why are you confused about the thread? You don't think they have a chance to struggle this season?

The entire NFC North made more improvemant than them. The Packers put a bandaid on a leaky defense. They have to start a rookie 5th round pick at center and are struggling to find a run stopper now Raji is gone. Their defensive line is now 20 pounds lighter across the board now Raji is gone and they let go of other players. The D Line sucked and was pushed around last year. Their linebackers are mediocre with a non threatening secondary. This is a team who gave up 40 at Detroit last yearGT and it could have been worse. They were lucky when they played Detroit at home last year when Megatron was ruled out on game day.

What is the issue with the thread? They play on the road at Seattle, Detroit, and Chicago 3 of the first 4 games. I hate Chicago but I expect them to lose. Rodgers and a couple receivers is all they got it showed last year when he was out, forgot about Lacy, hes a stud. The Packers come into the season with a lot og question marks.

Notice one thing about the thread. Nobody came to defend the current team to say where I was viswrong. THey bashed the Vikings, the thread was about teams WHO COULD BE disappointed. They defend the past and bash the Vikings but never addressed the real problems. A weak O line with shitty defense. GOOD LUCK

Oh and a Packer fan tonight said " I am not worried about Seattle's defense, look at how many points they gave up to Oakland last week." :mj07: You can't make it up. Every Packer fan I run into says Seattle has nothing. Knocking Wilson who I believe is over rated but the same guys loved him as a Badger and rooted for him to beat Denver. Bring it. They haven't fared well outside the division of late and it happens Thursday Night

BP...Where do you find these Packer Fans? They must be stupid or drunk when you chat with them....Any REALISTIC fan knows GB has a very solid team and has a shot..That's all anyone can ask for. As long as Rodgers is playing they do have a shot.....To Say Seattle D sucks or whatever is a fan with Zero knowledge. I NEVER listen to HOMERS....they think their team will go 16-0 every year .

You should stick to paying attention to the Cowboys and quit nosing around subjects you are not familiar with. :mj07:

I am really glad it's football season. I have said there defense sucks, I don't think the team sucks, but I do think they have a good chance of being disappointed for reasons I mentioned above plus this.

The Packers have an extremely thin roster, their drafts have been horrid since the Matthews draft. They have a little less at the skilled position and their best receiver hasn't been on the field 100% of the time because of hamstring issues and guess what he has had some hammy issues this preseason already. These are not fantasies this is fact.

Minnesota is on the up swing. I don't think it's opinion, I believe it to be fact. They got rid of the worst coaching staff in football and replaced it with proven coordinators. They picked up two free agents in DT Linval Joseph and DB Captain Munnerly two young proven players. Here is the kicker because the VIkings have sucked so bad (made playoff two years ago) They have had 7 NUMBER ONE PICKS in past 3 seasons. All of them have played very well and remember everyone talks about the Packers injuries the Vikings were without Pro Bowl caliber safety Harrison Smith and Talented Tight End Kyle Rudolph for almost the entire season. The VIkings lost 4 games and had a tie by giving up points in final minute last year. That was playing with a horrible Tampa 2 defense and Moron coaches who pushed Ponder down the fan's throats. The entire offensive line comes back in tact and Cassle has a entire off season as the starter and the reps with Patterson and Jennings both in their second years with the club.

Now lets compare the teams

QB - Packers waaaaaaay ahead of Minnesota not even close.
RB - Vikings are better and its not debatable.
OL - Vikings are better and its not debatable.
TE - Vikings are better and its not debatable.
WR - Packers are better but debatable, Corderrelle Patterson is very explosive and the Vikes have more receiver depth but if Cobb and Jordy are healthy they get the nod.
DL - Vikings are better and not debatable.
LB - Packers are better and their linebackers suck. I believe the Vikings linebacking core is the worst in football.
DBs - Vikings are better.
Special Teams - Vikings are better and its not debatable.

Me - Packers may have a disappointing season.

Packer Fan - Vikings Suck

Me - Packers defense is bad and they didn't do anything to improve it.

Packer Fan - You are jealous

Me - Packers haven't beaten a team worth a crap in a long time.

Packer Fan - We won a Super Bowl 4 years ago and make the playoffs every year.

Me - Packers have a tougher schedule this year.

Packer Fan - Vikings are irrelevant

No real Analysis, just attack the Vikings.

That wasn't what the thread was about. Yes they do have a shot, their team is solid because of Rodgers, but they do have a chance of being disappointed because the teams around them are getting better, much better IMO. I think Chicago and Detroit have a chance to be something special.

My camper is on a 12 camper lot and across the street there is a 100 camper lot. My friends and a lot of other guys we hang together, drink beers talk fishing and football and I shit you not one Packer fan wasn't impressed with Seattle by all the points they gave up against Oakland last week. I just about died on the ground laughing. Trust me a few of my buddies looked at him like a Moran. Then one friend says, "Seattle hasn't faced an offense like ours." Um I'm pretty sure they made Denver look pretty crappy last year. We both realize the Packers are a different animal with a different offense and Rodgers being more mobile gives them more opportunity. They can improvise more. I think starting a rookie center in that environment is going to hurt them. Maybe not but another fan at the camp ground states, "Oh that center is a stud, he's going to be great." I'm like how the hell do you know, he's a 5th round pick which doesn't matter cause the VIkings center Sullivan is a solid center and he was 6 th rounder but he took his lumps.

It's just great football is starting.

IF you like FREE MONEY. TAKE THE VIKINGS +4, I got em at 6 three weeks ago,.

I'd say the Vike's without Frazier is an instant upgrade. :mj07:
I thought they looked good in pre-season - taken with a grain of salt.
Teddy "Dishwater" makes Cassel better by at least creating some competition.
I want to take them against the stl "Hams" but i don't really trust either team yet.

I think you can add Carolina to this list, they had a lot of things go right last year.
"fig" Newton is dinged up, he has no receivers anymore and i'm not sold on Ron Rivera.
They have a very tough 5 game stretch:
@ Cinci
@ GB
vs Sea.
vs N.O.
@ Philly

Yeah they are catching 4 from St. Louis. Looks like free money that raised my eye but I did pick lions last year in opener to be free money against Vikes and it was.

The free money is St Louis -4. Bradford gets knocked out, over 70%+ of bets are on Minnesota and the line stays above -3? St.Louis all day long.

This happens a lot on opening day. Line movements have been whacked, Green Bay opened in Philly a couple years ago. Packers were a heavy up lib favorite and the line dropped as well. They blasted them. Happened with Vikes against Cleveland opening day with Favre too

I don't think Bradford out hurts the Rams at all so you may be right in that regard. It might even help. Bradford has been far from anything special.

Exactly, and Vegas keeps the line above 3 to sucker in all the people on Minnesota that think Bradford makes a difference. If Minnesota was going to win, the line would have moved to -3 or less.

The line opened at 6 and when Bradford went down it came on the board either late last night or this morning cause I was checking it. Line now
Moved to 3.5? Don't know how much action the game is getting since it's these two teams. In positive the money will be on the Vikes. The line movements are a good indicator but are not always a determinate in who is the team who gets the cash. Vegas usually knows something but on paper the Vikings are the better squad but that doesn't mean a cover either.

I look for opportunities wherever I go--you have vikes better than pack at most spots--why would it be crazy you think they will be better than them this year---

you practically preach how fuking good they are than gb and yet you don't think they'll win as many games--or maybe they win more than 6.5--seriously?

you really just come across as a hater, I wont say you don't know more than me about the division, but when it comes time to ball-up you go home--interesting

I guess one of these years you'll be right..will it be this year?

Hahahaha - I think the QB position is that big. Yes I have the Vikes being 8-8 this year, Rodgers is so good they are going to win a lot of games.

One if these years I'll be right? 2010 picked then to win Super Bowl 2011 picked them over
And they won 15 2012 picked the under 12.5
2013 picked ten under 10.5. I've Been very good predicting their season totals. Vikings have picked right several years. I picked them over initially last year then came back and said to go under the total last year.

Come off as a hater, sure I do but I call it like I see it. They think their shit don't stink
And shoot off their mouth around here all the time but since 2010 they regressed.

I hope you know I wasn't being serious with you, I was chucking as I was tyoing

I'll tell you one thing a lot of what I say will hinge Thursday, not if they lose but if they win. Even though it's opening night with many games to go a win in Seattle would be a big step in right direction. It would definitely put a big blow in my action and this thread.
