i watched their last 2 games and have to agree. they're playing with confidence and have that 'look' in their eyes. attitude has a lot to do with everything and these boys seem to have it!

While I do agree with you that Miami may hold back their top pitcher, haven't seen the lineups yet, I wouldn't count the Canes out. Miami is tough throughout their lineup in both hitting and pitching. They will be more than ready to finish the Vols off again. Plus, they know that Stanford is already in the final game and they will not want to play an additional one tomorrow night. The Vols did score all of those runs, but look who put up 21 against them the other night. While there is "value" in the +200, I cannot take will. Will lay the number or stay off.

was not going to post and wont be much more but once again this has to be one of the most stupidest statment i have ever heard,hold back the best so they can play again fri then on sat for the championship. yes they want to play 3 stright day and be left with no pitching for saturday, they split between 1&2 then use there great bullpen which is #1 in the country.then getting to rest fri and all arms andlegs bumps and stiffness will be ready for saturday because of the rest day i see you have been around tournment play for along time.

ps miami lit up ut's ace for 21 runs all earned and pulled ace after 5 innings with a 13-3 lead 4 hits 5k's 61 pitches.then threw scrubs for the next 2innings that gave up the hits and run,then when they brought the top 3 bullpen guys in the slammed the door.

Personally I can do without all the bullshit. Two days ago a member asks a simple question and YOU 'blow a gasket'?! What the hell kind of way is THAT to treat people? You mean we're not allowed to ask 'his majesty' a question? When I was brought up, I was encouraged to ask questions when I didn't know the answer, so that I could learn. If I was always attacked when I asked a question or had an opinion I certainly would have quit asking and never would have learned a damn thing. I want a forum where people can help each other and learn from each other. I don't want our members to be afraid to ask questions or have their own opinions.

And, the attack on Fire in the Box was uncalled for as well. She didn't ask you about your contributions to various charities. She asked that you be civil when someone inquires about your methods. WTF is wrong with that?
I know that you have had your share of attacks against you and you were defended by the members of this forum too. That still doesn't give you the right to attack someone else just because they asked you a question or have their own opinion.

I understand Fletcher not ssaying much right now . . . partly because of the way he was treated . . . and partly because I imagine he is holding his breath until after this game is over. When you try to help others and then watch your own wallet go down in flames it makes you want to remain silent and take care of business.
I played Miami this morning not anticipating much discussion on the game. I learned a lot from Fletcher this past week and there was no way I was going to jump on the dog.
In my opinion Walt Allen beat USC, not the Volunteers. He held them at bay until they started to lose hope and it reflected in ever aspect of their play and the loss resulted.

i have to say that the rat guy was kind of rude to fletcher(he was very rude to me also that day) but he was only asking a question, if you think about it. the person i really feel bad for is that asian gal who only offered an opinion and got blasted out of the water. she had a point i think. nobody should act like they're so good that they cant be bothered with young and/or inexperienced people asking questions.then not only to ignore them but to go off on them,well that seems pretty extreme. bottom line is that hotheads dont make it in this business. you have to be cool at all times or you will fail. hopefully fletcher learns this the easy way and not the hard way. i can tell that he probably hasnt been around the game that long and i hope he takes this constructive criticism the way it was intended.
