glad i skipped the ml - the buckeyes are snake bit. i told my wife the rb for osu should have fallen at the one.....:shrug:
FG gets the win instead of OT or at least forces Texas to go for 2 to get up 3. A lot of coaches do it, but it makes no sense to me

props to texas and for their fans at least most of them on here.
maybe they lacked motivation, whatever, but to be considered for the national title you should at least beat a team convincingly that got pasted by 32 and only put up 3 against usc.
BDB we could play that game all day. USC lost to a team that scored a whopping 3 points on vaunted Pitt.
Bowls are just a different animal - I just think they are a poor comparison under almost all circumstances unless its the title game.
Do people actually buy hats for winning the Fiesta Bowl? I sure hope those are just for the players

bowls are different. not even a big fan of usc. texas and usc should have been playing in this game. if it weren't for the stupid rose bowl affiliation it would have happened.

The USC/OSU is completely irrelevant.
That game was 4 months ago, that game was b4 Pryor, it was a home game for USC, OSU is playing MUCH better at the end of this season compared to early on....etc etc.
I agree tonight was not overly impressive, but a BCS win is a BCS win. It wasnt a great situation for Texas, but they sure handled it better than Bama.
Florida will be the champs. I still think Texas has the best season long resume of all the contenders.

why isn't usc's resume more impressive. if oklahoma gets pasted, then who exactly has texas beaten. missouri doesnt count, neither should texas tech after their showing against maryland. USC lost to a team that shut out their opponent in their bowl game and the pac-10 is 5-0 in the bowls this year. you could also say that beating penn st. isn't impressive, but neither is beating ohio st.

Texas didn't beat TT and TT didn't lose to Maryland(It was Ole Miss).

I agree. The situations around each game are all so different. Any week other than that week UT drills TT. They just walked into a hornets nest after 3 BIG games in row playing at TT in the biggest game of the programs history in primtime. Also being on the road/neutral for 3 of the four them.
I am sure there are circumstances for all other teams as well...
I would have loved to have a rematch w/ USC in this game. I think UT would have been way more into the game, if you can say that. Then we could have settled that debate at least.
